Christ, a few comments prompted me to read through the guide details.
Sounds like I'll sure as hell NOT be running that with Alpha. I can imagine the sheer JOY of that many auto-hit attacks. Bloody wonderful

How dare anyone solo in this game! Being an Massive, Multi-Person Online game measn you HAVE to team! And you have to like it! Why are you not loving this teaming, citizen?! You want the shinies, WHY ARE YOU NOT TEAMING LIKE WE ORDERED YOU TOO?!
*eyeroll*
Apparently wanting alternate options is now a crime. Whodda thought it? -

Quote:Ok, attempting to reign in my trademark snark and bile thats been enflamed by a lot of stuff recently on the boards.FWIW I think the increased end costs for MM buffs make sense. The way I see it it it's an anti-zerg measure. If a pet dies during a battle you have a strategic choice to make regarding rebuffing immediately or waiting. Now if we had to recast the MM pet buffs every four minutes I'd be PO'd as well but since they last until the pet dies I'm cool with them being expensive.
For the other buffs we do have to recast every four minutes so the strategic casting is lost and a lower end cost makes sense.
I AM casting pet buffs every four minutes on ITrials. I'm casting pet buffs every mob or other mob on Itrials. Because Praetorians chew up and spit back out my whole Primary set at a rate of knots. It's not even funny. Its made all the worse by the insistently bugghed AI that makes my ranged pets run into melee to punch Warwalkers in the kneecaps, Warwalkers that as often as not kill them simply by dying and falling on them.
It's not an Anti-Zerg measure. Defenders and such can now use their buff powers in an AoE with no extra endurance cost. There is NO good reason why this cannot be applied to MMs to give us some slack. -
Quote:I wish I could hug you, Eva. You made me laugh when I sorely neede one. ThanksThe devs don't care about your costumes and looks and concept. Their deus ex won't deign to let you wear those shiny new costume pieces you like until it says you're cool enough to wear them. Besides, by the time Omega rolls around you'll be covered in so many effects you won't be able to even see your costume.

Quote:Yeah, because the random drop tables is TOTALLY going to give it to you quick. And I agree with it!
Want to get them quick, one can always run many an itrial to get the needed components.
And 'many an ITrial', eh? Weren't you the one harping on about 'don't grind' or 'it's not a grind' or some such utter guff? -
Quote:Because, get this, costumes and looks for a character matter to some people, Miss 'I only have one toon and I'm so special LOL smiley face'.Incarnate armor only available to Incarnates? Where's the problem with that?

Having to wait till level 35 was bad enough for any char wanting to use Roman parts (and previously Vanguard)
Waiting till 50? Sorry, calling bollocks on that one. -
Quote:Wow. And they didn't take the chance to give MMs the same treatment for their stupidly over end-priced pet buffs?Heads up, Ziwillinger confirmed that endurance costs will not increase and the buffs will not affect the caster:

Gee. Thanks. Wonderful stuff. Not like it's our damn primary or anything... -
New Lore pets = Heck yes
New Trial = Eh, will likely get as sick of it as BAF and Lambda, but at least it will break up the grind very slightly
New auras and costumes pieces = VERY nice
Armour locked behind level 50 = sorry...WHAT are they smoking? Wow. Just wow. I thought that lesson got learned from Kheldians and Spiders. Obviously not.
AoE Buffs = Oh. Yay. That guarentees I'll never play any other defenders then. I HATE the AoE Buffs on my MM thanks to it bollocking my End bar utterly. Kiss your blue goodbye, folks. -
Quote:Ahh. No, that sounds about right actually. Steamknight was getting stuck i nthe Slug loop without the blast sfx. There was a bug way way back in the day (got fixed around i8 I think) where Illusion and Mind Control holds would put you into an animation loop if you had your rifle out. You couldn't use a break free. Could this be that bug again? Are you getting stuck in an animation loop where it looks like you're trying to fire your rifle over and over? And can you use a break free?
Edit: I tried getting held by both an Illusionist and a Rikti Mentalist, with the rifle drawn, and could still fire Slug and Burst just fine.
So, guess that bugs back. Deep joy. -
Additional Bug; Defiance seems to be broken. Need to test it further in-game, but with One (1) application of hold on my AR/Energy Blaster, Bust and Slug both failed to work under mez conditions, when they should have been working just.
-
Defiance for Blasters seems to be bugged since the last patch. I was just on a mission with friend using my AR/Energy Blaster. Being held by a Carnie Master Illusionist (one application, I checked) niether Burst or Slug were firing, despite repeated clicking and attempts.
Has anyone else noticed anything untoward? I'll be running a few tests later on when I get back in game. I'm hoping it was just me... -
Quote:Oh, look, where did that strawman come from?Oh please, inside banks makes how much of this game? You're exaggerating here. But whatever, disagreeing is obviously a bad thing on the forums nowadays.
But, by all means, explain to me how having to toggle through about twenty civilains to target the two guards currently shooting you up with immunity because you cannot actually click or tab to them is in any challenging? -
Quote:What's that got to do with the price of tea in China? What the heck have other games got to do with this one? You're not being "ripped off" nor are you being "penalized". It's actually more of a nice bonus you're even being allowed to convert mats/tiers at all, many games do not allow this.
And that example is still cobblers. For my main, shards are ZERO use to me. I have my tier 4 Alpha slot that I dont intend to change. Shards, unlike threads, cannot be used for anything other than one tier. Shards are, however, the only incarnate slavage that drops in regular content.
So, to turn something utterly useless into something useful, I also have to pay a fee because...why? There IS no good reason for this. And yes, I get that a lot of people treat 2.5 million as loose pocket change. Well done. Good for you. Do you want a medal with that?
The fact you have to pay any additional cos is arbitrary and rediculous, however. And ALL of it is basically coming back to the same point;
If you don't want to grind the ITrials for all of your kit...well, tough nuts to you, because apparently having ANY other way outside the trails (i.e. making shards turn into threads for 1:1 and no added cost) is apparently too much to ask. -

Quote:I find your lack of variety...disturbing.I have 1 starter body costume file for Female characters. They all have the same body and face. The difference is the costume and the Archetype/Primary/Secondary sets. You all should know this after how many years of me posting my screenshots?

QR and short answer to sum up the whole darn thread;
lolNo. -
Why not some European love? I'd like to have more Union Jack stuff (Or, although its unlikely, St George's cross stuff. I guess it's practically illegal to be English these days -_-)
Heck, the list is endless;
Medieval Pack
Ruined Future Pack (Lost mobs-esque, Fallout, etc)
Everyday Pack (More casuals stuff)
Oh, and how about free items from time to time? Or is that a huge no-no these days?

/Signed x 1000. Still find this immensely annoying, especially when various badges are in different sections, in non-alphabetical and often nonsensical orders, too. Makes looking through a pain
-
Quote:Challenge=!Frustration/unsigned for the reasons brought up previously in threads about this topic.
I like having them and adds a little challenge to an already easy game.
/Signed. Either that or at least reduce the number of civvies running around in the bank itself. Street? Fine. Inside? No. Annoying as hell.
Oh, and for people trying to play the 'immoral' card (It's pixels...and?) too late. There is already prescedence in the Praetorian Power arc with Bobcat, where everything in the bank is targetable AND defeatable. Yes, that includes those accursed civilains. And thank frag for that, too. -
Quote:Psst. Don't feed the trollForms are "over-powered"? Explain. Sure, fitness affects them. My PB is only 32 but when I tried Nova, I didn't think endurance was that big of an issue for it because it really only has 4 attacks and two being short-recharge.
And fitness affects everyone so it's not like Kheldian is the only AT benefiting from it.

The air beside Ineloo and Kri shimmered, and a door opened seemingly out of nowhere. Silver had been under stealth cloak since the journey, having figured that registering at City Hall would just be painting a big target for the local Deception forces on his face-plate.
"We should really be getting outta he," he prompted, the invisible engine revving slightly.
The Apartment
Anderson sat upi, listening to the incoming Police Scanner reports.
There was a brief, panicked sounding report of 'robot Nazis', at which point the paladin's face lit up, expression splitting into a wider, manic grin.
"So, all th'freaks are oot in force taenight, eh? Let's give 'em ae warm welcome!" he said as he stood, silver hissing as a pair of bayonets slid out of his sleeves and straight into his waiting hands.
Meanwhile...
"Invasion forces: Detected. Encroachment into affairs: Unacceptable. All aquisition forces: Deploy. Mission: Termination!"
In Atlas Park, the Police precint suddenly sprung into united action. At his desk, Captain Ron Belle put his feet up and smirked as, beside him, the giant police dog growled and licked its lips.
Beneath Skyway City, a detachment of Crey security forces and Paragon Protectors moved out, dispatching in secret to hot spots to 'do their part' for the city. In the swivel chair in the main office, Chief Officer Firenze spun round and round, grinned between his headphones as hevy rock music pounded in his ears.
The Arachnos base in Faultline began deployment at the same time, squads of heavily armed and armoured troopers making their way to deny the new arrivals any ground. In the Commanders office, the man sat immobile at his desk while, behind him, a Drone Controller unit hovered ominously.
And, from beneath Steel Canyon, the strange monotone voice gave it's orders.
"Decepticons: Scramble. All Hail: Megatron!"
