Well, my subscription is ending soon and Hannah's off to live on a tropical island... :<
Pyroclast's player sometime appears, no idea about Darkie and Frozenphoenix though. -

"Everyone clear the portal room! Get containment shields online and active!" Zorielle alerted the crew over the tannoy. The technicians and scientists hurried out of the portal room as various machines and instruments whirred into life. "Alright Jessica, I want you to get in there, plant the device and get out, try not to take too long." the buisnesswoman warned the young woman in front of her.
"Of course! I will be back in no time whatsoever, well, I will be a little while because I cannot operate outside of time to be back in no time but you do get what I mean!" Jessica smiled, adjusting the Zortel suit.
"I know dear, now take care and be careful out there, okay?" Zorielle said, giving the girl a kiss before getting out of the room to the control centre. Jessica picked up the scanners with ease and headed to the plate before the swirling vortex.
"Let's get started. Phase Shields initalized, nanoparticle blockers in place, tri-layer shields booting up." Hannah said aloud, reading off the computer screen.
"Jess, remember to keep your nanoscopic filters operational while you're there, okay?" Tessa said to her.
"I will, see you in a while!" she said cheerfully, as if she was just off down to the shops and not to another dimension.
"Dimensional Alignment in T Minus Ten Seconds! Infraction Engine online, you are clear to enter in T Minus Three, Two, One!"
The vortex parted and stabilzed as the heroine jumped through, before the protective shielding seals slotted over the vast rig.
"Scanning, no nanomite entities found." Hannah said with a sigh of relief.
"All we can do now is wait, and hope." Zorielle nodded, before drinking from the polystyrine cup she had.
-Alpha Rho Epsilon 18-
One year ago, an accident involving nanomites caused thousands of the microscopic machines to reproduce and enter every single part of the earth, assimilating the indiginous life forms and rewriting them to their own specifications. This alternate earth is classed as an Omega Level threat, due to the high risk of being contaminated by the nanomites.
Jessica emerged through the portal and glanced about. The dim speck of the portal's infraction point was visible to her. The world she had arrived to was lush, to say the least. Rolling green fields with tall trees leading up to a rather beautiful city, crafted from blocks of grey stone that had the uncany ability to not look dull and depressing.
Walking towards the town, she smiled as several women, with blonde hair of various styles came out of buildings to meet her.
"It is Jessica!" one said, waving her had excitedly.
"What brings you back to us again?" another asked.
"Hello Jessicas! I was wondering if you have seen any odd men on your planet. About six foot tall, with pale skin and a purple glow?" the nanohuman asked, making motions with her hands.
The two women who had spoken closed their eyes. "No, we have not seen anyone like that here, and we would know if we did!" they replied.
"I see, have you seen anyone not of ourselves?" Jessica asked, looking thoughtful.
"No, we have not. You are the only visitor here since last time, and we would know if anyone arrived even if we did not see them." one with her hair in a bun replied.
"What is that you have there?" a slightly younger looking one with pigtails asked.
"Oh, this is a dimensional scanner, to see if we can detect this person if he arrives. Would you let me leave it here so that we can see?"
The group of blonde women closed their eyes again, before all smiling brightly. "We have looked at it and it does as you say, so of course you can! If you need any help just let us know!" they replied.
"Yay, thank you! It needs to be put in these co-ordinates, can you take it there and set it up?" she asked one with long hair in braids.
"Of course, will you be leaving now? We have made cakes and tea." she said brightly, taking the scanner.
"I am afraid so, yes! But I will be sure to try and drop by again sometime and take you up on that!" Jessica replied. The other women pouted before waving. "Bye bye!" they said.
"Bye!" Jess smiled, heading back to the infraction point. After a few moments, the portal opened and she hopped back through.
"Scan complete, she's clean and so's the air around her. Lower the shields!" Zorielle ordered, before heading towards the portal section.
"So, how was it?" Hannah asked.
"Oh, they invited me for cakes and tea but I declined. They did not see anyone matching Requiem's description, or anyone else, but they have agreeed to let us keep the scanner there in case." Jess replied, before musing. "I could have gone for cake..." -

"DiscGen One Online, DiscGen Two finishing Power on Self Test, DiscGen Three entering rotational configuration mode." Anna shouted out over the noise in the lab.
"Alright, once they're all online, start the portal diagnostics and get Euler computing dimensional calculations, I want this place capable of dimensional infractions in at least three hours." Zorielle yelled back, before heading out of the lab sunk deep under Skyway City to a room a few corridors down.
"Zori, I've got the processsing plants running and the dimensional scanners under production. The test model was able to interact with the designs that Doctor MacAllister gave us perfectly." Tessa smiled, dabbing at her forehead with her hankerchief.
"Great work love, and here," she said, handing her wife a small laser pistol and holster, "I want us to be ready for if we get any visitors of an unwanted nature."
Tessa attached the holster to her belt and nodded. "Jess and Kiyarii are looking after the twins, right?" she asked.
"Yes, and they're at Hannah's flat at the moment. This whole operation is rather risky, I'd like to mitigate some of the oppertunities our enemies might have for retaliation if they catch wind. Finish up in here and help Anna out in the portal room, I'm off to see Hannah." Zorielle said, giving her wife a kiss before heading to the satelite uplink room.
"Mom, the information was delivered to Doc as soon as we opened up this morning. I'm keeping tabs on the situation here, I'll let you know if any anomilies pop up." Hannah said over her shoulder, not bothering to turn as her fingers sped across the keyboard, entering new data and terms.
"Very nice work, dear. We're taking a lunch break in half an hour, get one of the technicians to take over here." she smiled, before pausing. "Have the upgrades to the suit and security been put in yet?" she asked.
"Just finishing them off now, and the suit was ready at 10. I'll be there for lunch Mom, you go and rest your feet or something." Hannah smiled, giving a thumbs up over her shoulders.
"No time for that, if we can get the portal running we should be able to get teams marking dimensions more quickly. When it's running, we'll get Jess to Alpha Rho Epsilon 18. The sooner we get that place marked the better, I don't think we could do with an infection case to any of our colleuges."
"Amen to that Mom, one's bad enough." Hannah laughed. -

"Satelite Valencia in Geosynchronous Orbit over New England State." Tessa announced, looking up from her control console.
"Excellent. Scan on all frequencies, Hannah, can you get the Portal Corp schedules for us? If we can match dimensional infraction data with that, we can locate unauthorised entries and exits." Zorielle ordered, observing the large map projection.
"I'm on it Mom, oh, Satelite Toledo in geosynchronous orbit over Italy, monitoring as well on all frequencies." Hannah replied. On the laptop to her left, her newsclient was open on some of the more underground hero usenet sites, several peer to peer clients open as well.
"Mom, I've got Satelite Madrid coming into orbit over South America." Anna said from her desk.
"Upload the known base locations and troop movement data given to us by our informants." Zorielle said. "Oh, Hannah, a girl at the meeting last night wanted access to our satelite system. I'm expecting a call from her today, lock out any sensetive information she doesn't need to see and get a console up and running for her."
"Already doing it, Mom. Oh, and what about-"
"Get it uploaded. I want people to know what kind of creature they'll be facing."
"Okay..." Hannah replied, starting the upload, "I'm locking it out though, they won't be able to save it, so we can pull the feed if necessary."
"Satelites Granada, Navarre and Castille are in Molniya orbit around the Earth. I think we're ready." Tessa reported.
"Okay, I've informed the front desk of a list of the hero groups and individuals that will be helping out, if they need access to this data, they can get it." Zorielle replied, leaning back into her chair as she had a sip of tea.
"I'm done here Mom, I'm going to head down and help out with the upgrades to the Q-Module for the ZorTel suit." Anna said, getting up and heading down the stairs.
"So much for a peaceful move," Tessa mused, "We've got them setting up a lab in one of our old buildings, once that's operational we can clear out here so the builders can get to work."
"So much indeed... good work love. Breakfast?"
"Breakfast sounds good Mom, can you get it sent down to me and Anna in the lab?" Hannah smiled, giving her mothers a kiss on the cheek before heading down to join her sister.
Tessa and Zorielle nodded, before looking at each other. "Continental?" Tessa questioned.
Zorielle glanced at the viewscreen and nodded. "An apt choice."
((If anyone wants access to the data, just give me a PM. So I can then PM Doc and then PM back to you to give you what you find. Cumbersome! If anyone wants breakfast, no, you can't have any.)) -
[i]Zorielle sat in her office, chin resting on her hands as she read the message in her inbox. Leaning back, she pressed one of the buttons on the coms device next to her. "Tessa, Hannah, Jessica, could you please come to my office." she asked, before letting go. Heading over to the table near the window, she poured herself a cup of tea, looking out through the large window over Skyway City as she waited.
"Right, you've all seen the message, and heard about what happened. Even though we're busy here with the move and anything, I still want us to offer our services." Zorielle said, sipping from her cup.
"I already offered Ellie the help of some of the twins," Hannah said, "And if they need any cracking done, me and Anna should be able to handle that easily if there's need for us."
"And we can shift one of our geostationary satalites over to Striga Island, I can get on that now." Tessa added.
"That'd be great, love." Zorielle smiled. "Plus while the labs here are being decommisioned, we still have a few facilities."
"And I will help where I can!" Jessica added, before beaming. "And I can make cakes as refreshments!"
"I'm sure they'd appricate that." Zorielle smiled at Jessica, before looking at the three of them. " I'll head down to this meeting tonight then, you all know what you need to do." -
Nice style, different to the more western styles, would I be right in saying there's a touch of the East in your style?
And am I the only one who read the thread title as Kemble Mix and thought of cat food? -
Yeah, Fusebox was the first to arrive and started chatting to the adults, then a few more teenagers arrived and started talking to each other, being the only teenagers there. And it went from there.
Oh, Brighteyes, you missed out Catch, Nyteshade and Rad-Active. I can't remember if Rad was an 'offical' member though. -
*Sends Miss Ellie a ball of string, a new collar, a little bell in a ball, a mouse toy and a new bowl with 'Ellie' on it.*
Congratulations! -
The name is already in use, due to people still being in the original, though their accounts are innactive.
Though I do have my misgivings about using it. The Rooftop Generation were a group of IC friends who were teenage heroes, and met up on a rooftop, and after a night of burgers, snacks and brainstorming came up with the name for themselves. For another group to go and use it, just doesn't seem right. -
I said treading near, not on. See, you're tying your characters background into a 3rd party and copywrited and trademarked setting. Not only that, but in Dragonball Z collateral damage normally ends up taking out chunks of the earth, not a style that fits into City of Heroes setting from what we've seen.
-
It is a TV thing. To do with the Japanese Anime show Dragonball Z.
Some friendly advice to the opening poster, I might reconsider your characters background if I were you. For several reasons, like dancing on the line of copywright issues, and the fact that such characters from said show wouldn't really fit into a lot of standard superhero roleplay. -
I only stole from the tinhorn! Serves him right for carrying around such fine timepieces in his pocket, and for not keeping his eyes on his surroundings instead of on the saloon girl's cleavege!
Still, at least I had the chips to buy off those head wounds, otherwise she'd be purty no longer. -
I saw the quickplay version or whatever it's called that was released a while back, and I don't like the system. Besides, it's pretty easy to emulate those abilities in Mutants and Masterminds.
-
Jennybear rolled a 36 on a tracking roll in Deadlands. She then proceeded to learn the eyecolour of the beasts they were following, their hunger levels, their emotion and a variety of other things, including what they had for breakfast.

Does a high score mean we win a prize?
Cause a lot of those apply to me. Especially the using of saving throws in real life. And taking dice not to diceless events, but to events where there isn't any RP planned. Like dinner at Bristol... -
My only suggestion if you want to do that is get a scribe to write up everything that happens IC in the coalition for when new people join.
Unless you want to get into the "I took down Dr. Vhazilok" "Wait, no you didn't, we took him down weeks ago" and other such fun situations. Same for newsworthy events in the coalition. -

Same thing happened with Trick Arrorw/Archery when they were released too
[/ QUOTE ] And look at TA/Archery now... poor poor set combo. *HUgs the two power sets* -

Exactly right. The powerful melee I was referring to was a Power Thrust to the face, which is exactly how Zortel pwned me in the arena a few weeks back.
[/ QUOTE ] The irony being that it's the only melee attack from my secondary I have. -
Yup. Sciency-mutanty. Using the old Marvel classification, they'd be Mutates (Scientifically created mutants, as opposed to naturally.)
-
A human can become one by being infected with a mutagenic virus, one of the main ones being the Will of the Earth. Only Lesser, Devoured and Greater are humans mutated though (Unless you also count Terra and Hamidon), the Razorvine and the like are created by Hamidon.

I'd join, but thursday doesn't work for me, what with having a BESM game then. Stasis makes a good suggestion, and Leif's right about the death penalties. It's all about KISS.
Would have been fun to try on another night though, Liberty Lad could do with a team. -

Still, I'm one to talk... I'll be in the Isle of Wight in August...
[/ QUOTE ] Shanklin, Village Inn. Go get one of their burgers from there, it's a god in a bun. -
No one mention MSH. On pain of being used as a teething device for many hundreds of small pink humanoids, codename: babies.
