    The main problem isn't the influence though. Its people starting to play COH and getting to level 50 within a couple of days. Even with all of what Posi has said about it, people still farm it, and the new players that came and farmed to 50 are still here, still not knowing about the game and not really doing much.

    most of these aren't aimed at me. I have alot of inf on heroes and i never wait to buy something, i'll always increase the price (usually by 1,000 for salavge, 10,000 for enhancements, 100,000 for invention recipies, and 1,000,000 for purples) until i get it.

    The point is that salvage is still at too high prices for a lot of people. The salvage being so high then means that alot of people will continue to put it at that price (there are many people that try to get as much as they possibly can for stuff) and we will keep going around in circles with the market until something is done. The salavge price also effects the enhancment prices. For example, a lvl 50 IO costs 400k to make (once memorized) and then 50k for a luck charm, 50k for something else, and 100k for something else (quite realistic due to the current market) so then the enhancement costs 600k to craft and going on the market for 700k. 700k is way to much for a basic IO, and this was about the price of many of them the last time i checked (granted this was 2 days ago). There are about 91 slots that need slotting, if you don't bother with rest, sprint and brawl, so thats about 63 million just to slot your charactor with Basic IOs. Too much, especially if you want 2 builds...

    At least sorting out the salvage like i said in point 1, would mean that the IO's can be sold at a near enough fixed low price.

  4. I spent the last hour or so making an MA Mission, which was great, until the servers shut down. Will i then lose everything i have just done?
  5. Hey guys, i was thinking about how the game could be improved and here are some of my suggestions. I'm not sure how many have been suggested before as i've only just started to use the forums again. What does everybody think do these and i'd like to know whether you agree or disagree with any.

    1.) Make it so that if you have memorized a recipie, you don't need to buy the salvage for it before you can craft it? The reason i say this is mainly because it costs so much to buy salvage these days which in turn makes it very expensive to craft recipies even after memorizing them. With the way the market is atm its costing 500k+ to make a level 50 IO (one memorized) so its going on the market at 600k-800k (way to expensive in my opinion). If the salvage isn't needed once a recipie is memorized (obviously needed before being memorized) the effects on the market would be benifical. After a couple of weeks the salavge prices would drop as less people are needing them and more people would craft the higher level IOs and they'll be put on at a more affordable price, (This could even encourage people to make a second build as it becomes more affordable). In general i think this would help to make the market more stable.

    2.) Increase the number when bidding to buy enhancements to be 10? It can be a real pain when needing to buy lots of enhancements and being able to buy 10 at a time at a more affordable price can encourage people to use the AH more.

    3.) Increase the salavge drop rates slighty more in teams, or maybe do a special event weekend that has double salavge drop rates? This is another idea to try and fix the markets after MA farming took over. If the first option was chosen its yet another reason for people of all levels to find teams.

    4.) I think Galaxy city needs a couple of extra things added to it. Whether it is a Wentworths or something i believe it'll help. Atlas Park is by far the most comman starting zone, and if you start and Galaxy the zone is practially dead and if a new player starts the game in Galaxy then he/she is going to find it seriously hard to get a team until they work out how to use the train. I think that either Galaxy city needs to be encouraged a little more, or it should be removed as a starting city.

    5.) In Co-Op zones i think its very important to allow limited trading. Maybe in Cim and RWZ you can trade inspirations only? There have been too many times i have done TF's with 7 heroes and only 1 villian, the villian has died and needed to go hospital as no-one can give him an awaken. I think it should be inspirations only however.

    6.) Failing that there should be a store similar to the one in Ouroboros. Because leaving the zone to go Ouro to buy inspirations will result in a player being kicked. It can be quite hard to get hold of Inspirations in those zones espeically during Co-Op TFs. A store selling inspirations could help this. (I'm not sure if one exists, but if it does i don't know about.

    7.) Remove XP all together from the MA. I know this one has been suggested before but its a very good idea. Maybe increase the infulence rates while doing MA missions, or tickit drop rates, or a few more badges or allow proper reward merits for doing the missions? Say 1 merit for every 5 missions. I'll show you a convosation that is the reason i am saying this. As i won't name and shame on the fourm (its not allowed) i will use "X" as the other person in the convo.

    X : Hey i'm a level 49 scrapper is there any room in your team
    Heyman : Yeah sure
    *team invite sent*
    X : What zone are you in?
    Heyman : Peregrine Island....
    X : How do i get there?
    Heyman : Through Ouroborus is the quickest way

    Heyman (now quite angry as it becaome obvious he mostly powerlevled in MA): Okay scrap that, go through steel canyonn and then to talos island and take the ferry.
    X: Umm, how to i get to Steel?
    Heyman : Have you ever left atlas park??

    Aim > Soul Drain > Irradiate > Neutron Bomb would be a lovely PBAOE combo too (ok Bomb isn't PBAOE but it'd work the same way)

    Dark Consumption would work nicely with EMP as well.

    my problem was the grapics card stopped being able to handle the game after a while

    My temp fix was running COH on a reduced setting until i got a better graphics card

  12. The reason the build has been slotted the way it has is because the guy asking for the build wanted sets in it. Yes there are some that ATM are pointless slotted, and the 4 IOs is a waste yes, but that'll be changed to form a set at a later date.

    The end and def is combat jumping will be replaced by a LOTG Def and LOTG Recharge.

    I'm afraid i will have to disagree with Shannon. The tanker moves around alot, and can also taunt the people out of range a fair amount too to try and pull them into the group. A tanker is always changing its target to keep the agro and that isn't really ideal for you. Changing target so much there is a much higher chance that your heals etc will not fire off. I'd say target the Luits/Bosses as a general rule instead of the tanker. Yes targetting the tanker is a good idea, for the reasons i've stated above, its not ideal or the best way to go about things. Obviously however it is your character and will depend on how you want to play.

    Defiant Legends

    Well it took me ages to do this list. I have got quite a few people who i would class as legends to me and to defiant, and i thought i'd at least put the reasons why

    Black Mage : Used to team loads back in the day, ran losts of teams together and i seem to remember a couple of years ago he spent about half an hour complaining about someone stealing his costume and calling themself a simlar name

    Londener : Great player who always seems to know what he's doing. Invited me to the Smurfs SG and provided me with quite a few teams on villians. Always able to make people laugh.

    Liz : First villian i met. She gave me 1 million infamy when i started to give her 1 million influence back on heroes. It took over a year before i saw her play a hero and gave her the money back. Nicest person you could ever meet tbh.

    Thorny Devil : Great guy, been in lots of teams with him. Always up for doing something and some of the stuff he can come out with can make you laugh for ages.

    Dakrowe (anyone remember Leon?) : Great at making builds. A great SG leader (Freelancers) always kept a spot open on teams for me, and he taught me loads of what i know today.

    King Of Toys : Always able to beat my scrapper in RV Only ever beat him on my fire/kin in the zone. He used to bring RV to life. When the zone was mainly used for farming pillboxes, you could pretty much garentee kingy was in there interfering with it :P

    Mr? and Mrs? : Great great great people. we used to team together whenever we could. Mr?'s hammi raids where always great fun. Used to be the cutest couple in COH (until my girlfriend started playing XD jkjk) and Mrs? was extremely nice, especially to new players. Mr? brought me vodka at the pub (i was underage at the time :P)

    SIng Star : quite simply, if he had an opinion or had something to moan about, everyone on defiant knew what that thing was within minutes

    Xemulas and Demonic Judgement : Don't think i ever saw one without the others. The three of us (along with other people in our team obviously :P) have done way over 100 TFs together in the time i have known them.

    Biggie : Constant TFs done with this guy. Sometimes 3 or 4 a day. Always great to team with and whenever i organise a TF he's nearly always the first person to be up for it.

    Tylantia : Usually on at 3am UK time to team with. Says very stupid things nearly all of time. Great person to team with.

    Plight Trawler : Always up for pvp and he was great at it back in the day. If you saw someone talk in [arena] it was probably him. Although i did beat him with an empath once and i never let him forget it XD.

    Princey : Its no secret that i farm so everyone knew he'd be on here somewhere.

    Gorerider : Want to do a TF? Want a decent tanker? Look no futher

  18. Let me work something out for you. I'll post a build that i would do for it, but would also be good to get other opinions so hopefully some other people could post idea builds.

    I'll do a basic IO build first, (as i'm sure you don't have 800 mill+ to spend as soon as you ding 50) and then can work out sets and add them from there
  19. why stamina so late? My corrupter isn't very high at the minute but they seem to have alot of end drain going on. I'm worried that your endurence won't be good enough for quite a long time whilst leveling it, but not having a high enough corrupter to say i cannot be sure.
    Also the travel power being so late isn't the best of ideas, I doubt you could rely on tempory powers to travel you there, unless you have paid for flight.
    Unless you have the paid for flight, having SS only is a bad idea, espiecally for grandville.

    Finally most powers do seem to be slotted well, however there are others that i believe you've over slotted just for set bonuses. And because you've done this you don't have enough slots in other more important powers.

  21. I think it may depend on the map you are using. But from my expirence with MA (have made and tested quite a few missions) the placement doesn't seem to do anything. 9/10 times the bosses/allies/glowies have just shown up in random places. So far there seems to be no way of fixing this.
