I'm out this week - going to go do some Medieval artsy stuff!
Have fun -
At the risk of sounding obvious - all blast sets don't play the same way. The third ST blast, if it exists in the powerset, comes at different levels, and as you pointed out, Electric really doesn't have the third ST blast similar to what Energy, Fire, and Radiation have. Electric tends to be a bit more "blapper".
Personally, I would be bored with Blast sets if they were all laid out the same way, just with different secondary effects and/or animations. -
Quote:Agreed!Well a drop down for several versions at least.
Sorry... but no-hair is one of the least common versions that would be used. Short hair and a long hair would already suit most characters who use hats. As the default will not be removed that makes three versions for each hat.
While I would love to see a variety of hairstyles under each hat, I recognize that this would be a humongous number of new costume parts.
Looking at it from the female character point of view (which is all I play, so it's the POV that's important to me) - Bald or No Hair is the last thing I want. Personally, I want longer hair under fedoras and the various military-themed hats, a no-ponytail option under bandanas and cowboy hats, etc. Oh - and any hair at all under the Katie Hannon TF witch hat.
And, I think OP's question was not well-phrased, because I thought OP was asking for a separation between picking a hat and picking a hairstyle - which in the best of all possible worlds would be already in the game. But for the programming reasons listed, highly unlikely to be added.
P.S. If all they added was "no hair" to the existing hat options, I would be one of the first here screaming about not having other options. -
I think that the message you saw pop up is some "canned" language they used in the past when there was a possibility of daily server maintenance - people were supposed to be less upset because they had been warned that it might happen.
Of course, even back then, we rarely had daily maintenance - they just wanted to put out the caveat that it might happen. -
Unseighle will be there (sonic/dark blaster).
-
Add Winter Shock (elec/ice controller) please.

Quote:As irritating as Monty's quests are, remember that they unlock Cimerora and the Imperious TF.For example, a few of my characters have Montague Castalanella in their "Active Contacts" list. Having done his missions several times already, I decided I didn't want to finish his chain on these characters. But there he still is, cluttering up my Active Contacts list, and there are clues from the first couple missions taking up space in my Clues list. Some of my characters have more than one contact like this.
It's even more irritating to decide to do an ITF with a character you suddenly remember never finished that arc.... -
Welcome back, M_B!
You were missed, stay as long as you can, please.
Condolences on your loss of a parent. -
Useighle will be there. I think she is now level 19, but may be a bit higher by next week (if I can set aside my brand new dark domi for a break).

Quote:NPCs on the street are giants, but then stand your character next to mini-Manticore or the dearly departed Statesman. I never expected my character to tower over an iconic superstrength hero.
This. So much this! Something that has annoyed in this game is how all of the NPCs are seven feet tall. When I made my characters, I made them to have appropriate heights, with my tallest being 6'7". That is quite tall for any regular person, but in this game it is like he's just an average guy.
Quote:While I don't have a desire to see it included in the game, basically, you're interested in something that would assist you in calculating the approximate weight, based on the mass of the avatar.
And I do find that interesting!
I haven't checked those links Ad Astra offered up yet, but I was going to say that I'm sure there must be some resources out there to assist (obviously, not to the degree that you were suggesting for the game to provide), but something, at least. -
I can bring Unseighle - sonic/dark blaster - instead of my baby broot Fidanata. That should be a bit of ranged blasting, deboofin', AND control.
-
Quote:Phooey!I unfortunately can not make it this week. And After missing the STF by a hair this make me sad....
That and moving large heavy objects out of a 4th floor apartment does not inspire me to happiness. Oh well, hope you all have a blast!
The only thing worse than moving heavy objects OUT OF a 4th floor apartment is moving them INTO a 4th floor apartment.
We will miss you, -
Thanks to all the players who stayed on for a second run after the first ones finished. I was able to get 2 different characters through this, and as a result, my fire/therm corr Scorching Wrath is just inches away from hitting 50!
-
Hmm, I was going to bring my baby broot Fiadnata (kat/energy), but the team looks a bit light on range or control (such as it is at level 15).
Perhaps I can make a new alt to get her ready in time.... -
I wanted to get my name on this list early this week. I will bring a blaster or controller, but I'm not sure which one. I need to research this TF a bit, because I've never actually done it, although I think I padded once for the group to start it - the Mole Point Technician thing sounds familiar.
-
While having a tool included in the Character Creator would be more convenitent for the OP, there are sources available online to calculate reasonable weight and/or body mass indexes for various heights, such as:
http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/bmi_tbl.htm
Lots of pretty colorful porintable images:
http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...rt&FORM=IQFRRS
Height & weight tables used for life & health insurance underwriting:
http://echealthinsurance.com/health1...weight-charts/
If it really matters for RP purposes (to get it right in the bio) any one of these sources would work.
If the OP is proposing that it matter in how a character performs, then, no thank you. -
Amen, brother!
(especially the flying making you feel all "superhero-ey" part) -
Quote:We have a group on Infinity that runs through the Task Force Commander TFs - for leveling as well as the accolade - every Tuesdasy evening. It's good XP since we are all agreed that we are running for more than speed rewards. Of course, we have stealthed a couple of those monotonous "Kill the Boss" or "find the glowy" missions in Sis P or Citadel - I mean, come on, how many times do you need to tour the same Council base, amirite?Actually my idea (two of them combined = dangerous) was to make a set team that played once a week or so to do this. We all start at lvl 2 out of the tutorial and do sewers to 12 and DOs. Then on to Posi and up the ladder. Any time we hit a low spot we run radio mishions or tips to fill the gaps.
However I'm not familiar with all of the TFs so I wondered where the gaps might be. This sounds like it might be feasible...I think I'll try it. Thanks gang!
I usually can't level a new character just on those after Citadel level, but with Moonfire & Hess thrown in, and maybe an ITF after 35 (remember you need to run Castanello's arc to unlock that), I can make the 40s to do the late game TFs. -
Quote:It still is half the fun - and that goes for "opening" superpacks as well.Maybe they were trying to simulate the busy-work that happens when you buy a pack of CCG cards in real life. It usually involves wasting a few seconds each ripping open the wrapping and sorting through the cards.
Back when I used to play Magic I remember there were people who claimed that half the fun was opening the packs and anticipating the surprise of finding out what they got. -
So sorry to hear of a sudden death - I will repeat Voodoo Girl -
<hugs> -
I'm showing up with someone...
-
I will bring someone to see if there is a second team.
Probably a blaster, although I have a level 47 Corr (Scorching Wrath, fire/therm) who is almost alignment-shifted enough to make this.
Decisions, decisions.... -
Quote:*totally whacked out, off-balanced, maniacal laughter, possibly due to the sheer number of times she has done these missions....*

I think Forbin just started a new forum slash command inside joke. I will use it from now on.
So just to be clear - is the new "/Aggelakis" to be used for any suggestion that evokes maniacal laughter or can it be used for any suggestion that has been brought up over 9000! times (often the same thing)?
Oh, and
/signed & /Aggelakis -
