Cleaning up Contacts/Clues lists
Simply put, yes, that's the only way. You can always use your auto complete option to slowly complete the arcs.

God I wish there were and option as the active list gets cluttered with old contacts even after you've outleveled them. Definitely on my list of "would be nice".

If there are outleveled contacts in your active contact list, one of two situations applies:

1) The outleveled contact has someone to introduce you to. In this case, Call/Go visit them to get your new contact, and the old one will move off to Inactiveland.
2) You have begun but not finished a story arc (as denoted by a book icon on the contact). In this case, finishing the arc should move them off your list. Note, the arc will still only be run at the contact's max level, so it is entirely possible the missions could be filled with gray enemies if it has been awhile. On the plus side, it'll make it that much easier to clear, but on the minus side, you'll get nothing out of it other than a cleaned up contact list.
Champion 50s (blueside): Marc Bridge, Nicole Bridge, Fred Blaze, Colleen Storms, Sun's Chariot, Moon's Huntress, Point of Pride
Guardian 50s (redside): Connie Mand
AE arc: Spirit Plane Invasion, #29282, @Honbrid
And any Reward Merits for the story arc completion.

As irritating as Monty's quests are, remember that they unlock Cimerora and the Imperious TF.
For example, a few of my characters have Montague Castalanella in their "Active Contacts" list. Having done his missions several times already, I decided I didn't want to finish his chain on these characters. But there he still is, cluttering up my Active Contacts list, and there are clues from the first couple missions taking up space in my Clues list. Some of my characters have more than one contact like this.

It's even more irritating to decide to do an ITF with a character you suddenly remember never finished that arc....

Is there a way to move "active" contacts over to the "inactive" list? And related to that, a way to also clear those contacts' related mission clues out of the Clues list?

Is going back and completing the mission arcs the only way to get rid of these contacts/clues?
