Pretty useless - the only time I can remember it has come in handy to me is when I managed to pop off one more shot in PvP whilst dying, killing my killer.

As Zortel said, the scaling is stupid - you get down to 25% health, and defiance is only 25% full as well, and if defiance is up really high, you then recover a tiny tiny bit of health and defiance shoots right back down. The bad thing is, States said defiance is WIA.

Don't listen to him. Ice has the most AWFUL AWFUL nuke/final power in the game. Energy/Energy will make you cry with happiness when you get to level 32 and have powerboost+aim+buildup+nova and enemies go flying everywhere in balls of blue shinyness.
