6 hrs maintenance ? Normal ?

A 6 hour maintenance is a little on the long side, but at the same time, nothing we haven't seen in the past. Some maintenance periods are just longer than others.
As for the times, I think that is coincidence only. 10:30am is their usual streaming time.
If there is some correlation, it's a long shot. Odds are, they are firing up Twitch to do what they've been doing: remind us that they are still here, and encourage us to keep up our efforts.

This is just a maintenance period - nothing will be published. (I asked this on twitter and that was the reply I got)

6 hours for server hardware maintenance, 8 hours for a publish. That's the window they give in case the proverbial hits the fans during system testing.

No they're really just taking the time to rig up the nuke and the timer so when Nov 30 hits no one has to press 'the button', the colo facility is just wiped from the planet disguised as a gas line explosion and NCSoft collects all the insurance on their tech, which will be used to fund their next plot.
More like the server maintenance people just don't really care too much about minimising the downtime anymore.

a 6 hr maintenance was announced today. 04:30 till 10:30
is this normal, 6 hrs ?
Also 10:30 is the time the devs gonna be on Twitch TV.
