Need Help Selling Comics

We are soon to move again and need to offload a decent sized comic collection. Any idea on what's the best way to go about this? Aside from eBay that is.

If they're in good condition and popular titles you could check with your local comic shops. Next would be getting a table at a weekly flea market and sell them to the public. Either way I wouldn't expect more than 10 cents on a dollar unless it's a very collectable issue in very good shape.

Some of the bigger online comics retailers buy collections, but that would be a last resort, IMO. If you go the eBay route, try to offer story arc runs. Don't bother with trying to sell individual books unless they are signed and/or have special significance.

My local comic shop doesn't buy any comics. Only option he likes to give is ebay or online sites.

Does your town offer comic book shows/conventions? You could get a table there.

Honestly my best advice is to separate the wheat from the chaff and take that 1% of comics that someone would actually buy and eBay those and get the remainder appraised and donate to a children's hospital for a tax write-off. Oh and for making the children happy too, I suppose.
