CoH 2
This would be an option if NCSoft refuses to be reasonable - but if they also hung on to the IP, then CoH2 would need a new one.

If we can't rescue the game, we should try to rescue the IP.
Rescuing the IP would allow the wonderful Devs to eventually come up with CoH2.
A good sales pitch would be to let the Devs finish all the projects already started, and after that just maintain the servers while working on CoH2.
I really want for the game to be saved fully, but if that is not a real option, fight to get the IP at least... the hope for a CoH2 would still be there
"What counts is not what sounds plausible, not what we would like to believe, not what one or two witnesses claim, but only what is supported by hard evidence rigorously and skeptically examined. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." - Carl Sagan
And even if they hang onto the IP, we can put together another one that would preserve the spirit of the game.

Then Coh 2 have to take off form where we left it it at Issue 24 and get the Coming Storm in motion.

Get a kickstarter started to fund our devs. They can create "Hero City" from the ground up this time using active x instead of opengl. Yes opengl has more potential but the video card manufacturers do such a good job ignoring it that it's constantly glitchy.
I know, it's a pipe dream because most of the players are notoriously cheap and want everything for free. I would happily throw in $500 but not many others would even if that level of commitment to the kickstarter included a lifetime sub.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
My main worry about the IP business is NCsoft has been kinda bad about this before apparently (Dungeon Runner). I hope it's not because they're jerks but something else, something that CoH can overcome. It'd be understandable if they didn't relinquish it because there wasn't enough support or cough money backing it, but I really want to find out why and cross my fingers it's something that we can deal with ahhh
It's kinda hard to find the efforts people made and how NCsoft felt, the only thing I found was this one steam thread

...but, I think it's defs worth looking into. History lessons!
I drew this for my friend Ninja Earl. I aspire to be a concept artist.

I, for one, would happily pitch in on a Kickstarter if Positron and the others want to start a new studio.
I am putting my 2 cents in for a City of Heroes 2. This would, of course, be amazing.
1) Learn from all the good and all the bad from CoH 1
2) Make a new and improved MMO
3) ???
4) Profit!
