Yeah in a sense its a relief, I guess I will be buying an ATI card after all since they always seem to be the best value for the money whenever I am in the market for a video card. The news scuttles my plans of getting an nvidia card.
Anyways, GL to all of the other techies. Hyperstrike, Father Xmas and Texas Justice. 
H: Blaster 50, Defender 50, Tank 50, Scrapper 50, Controller 50, PB 50, WS 50
V: Brute 50, Corruptor 50, MM 50, Dominator 50, Stalker 50, AW 50, AS 50
Top 4: Controller, Brute, Scrapper, Corruptor
Bottom 4: (Peacebringer) way below everything else, Mastermind, Dominator, Blaster

I regret that I was unable to fully build my new system so that I could have enjoyed the game with all its settings maxed out.

Great thread. You technical pros are fantastic and I think your reach is much greater than even you may realize. For example, I don't recall ever actually posting in this sub-forum before now but I read it religiously and it had a profound affect on many of my hardware and software choices. As far as I'm concerned, you guys are the best... and in a community as good as this one that says a lot! Well done guys.
