I have solo'd my namesake character, Black Falcon up to 30 spending a lot of time in just recently in (oh shoot. Brain fart. whats the zone name?) that college town with 100% magic mobs. I know the name it escapes me now. Levels 25-27 were gleefully spent targeting Firl Bolg bosses (and making pumpkin pie afterwards).

what gets me is I completely missed the First Ward. Its totally new, and I never played there, and now I'm too high a level for it!

So now I don't want to miss a thing...what is fun to do at level 30?

Black Falcon solo build:Brute. Dark Melee, Electric, Flight and Invisibility.
Dark Melee has wonderful area affect attacks, and Lightning Field is a blast. My favorite tactic is to jump into the midst of a group and take on the toughest guy first. The minions are often down before I can even get to them.

Night Ward starts at 30, although the story there starts off as a direct follow up to the First Ward story.

There are new 30-50 arcs coming in I24, and most of the SSA episodes can be played by a 30+ avatar.

Is there a wiki or spoiler site that tells what the first ward story is?

Just go to paragonwiki.com and search for First Ward - then check out the contacts listed there to find their story arcs.
Night Ward develops into its own unique storyline, but the first arc there is so tied to first Ward that the contact for it is actually in First Ward.

Also if you havent done first ward why not go to Ouro and do the story arcs before you head to Night Ward so you can follow the whole storyline?

You get exemped down a bit but you wont lose any powers and you'll still get good xp. It's win win IMO.

If the 20-29 level band is full of good stuff, the 30-49 level band is rather lacking. In addition to First Ward/Night Ward, blueside there is:
-The second half of the Croatoa arc (the one you've started).
-At 35, the Rikti War Zone arcs become available. They're well worth doing. There's a chain of four contacts, though you can only run the two from Levantera at level 35, the next contact won't be available until 40. That means that if you want to run the whole plotline at once, you have to wait until level 45 (you can't outlevel them).
-Cimerora opens up at 35, too. There is minimum story arc content there (just three story arcs, one of which consists almost entirely of talking to people to get lore information); it's attraction is mainly the task force based there. You have to have Midnighter Club access (or a crystal in your supergroup base) to get there.
-Other than Night Ward, that's it for newer content. (Except for the Origin of Power arc, which is only worth doing if you want the badge; it's four FedEx missions, each in a different zone, plus one CoT fight. Even the lore it introduces isn't particularly interesting). There are the original story arcs, none of which are particularly outstanding, and there are the tip missions. The new 30+ arcs coming in the next issue will be a welcome addition.

As a note, Cimerora opens up for heroes at 35 but there's just the lore mini-arc to do until 40 when you can do the 2 story arcs. (However, it's -well worth- doing the Aquila arc just because for as short as it is it still rewards an arc completion bonus)

You can also go to Atlas Park and talk to the City Representative to receive your Aura unlock mission and talk to the tailor in Independence Port for your next costume slot unlock.

Outside of that though there's not really much to do in the 30 range. 30-35 is kind of awful because there's so little to do that lasts a while. As others here said, Night Ward adds some stuff but it's honestly pretty short and probably won't take you to 35 on its own if you're running basic settings. Most of the interesting stuff doesn't open up until 35 and even that stuff won't push you to 40 by itself.

Well lets see As mentioned I'd definately check out the night Ward missions and you got a good suggestion on using Ouroborus to got back and take a look at the First Ward missions as well. At 35 I always join Vanguard and start running the varius RWZ arcs as they open up to me .. They are well written and maybe its just because I lived through the days when almost NO contact had more than 1-2 missons in the same zone they stood in but I love that not one of the RWZ contacts asks me to leave the RWZ

I normally wait till I am closer to 40 but there is nothing preventing you, at 35 so you get the merits, from joining the Mothership raids in the RWZ as well. Depending on your computer they can be laggy but the XP is good and its a lot of fun to join 40 + other heroes in attacking a ship filled with Rikti!

Also at 35, as long as you have you Midnighter Club Arc completed, head to Cimeroroa .. The arcs are okay but the ITF is probably one of the best TFs out there and you'll find it challenging and fun.

At level 30 you gain access to the Manticore TF .. its a little dated and has quite a few missions but very few defeat alls and most are set up so as long as someone can stealth you can cut the time down considerably. OR if your on a team that all are after XP and have the time you can turn every mission into a defeat all and walk away with a lot of XP and a few levels.

Now I am not sure if your into TFs or not but at 35 you can do the Numina TF .. If you want the TF commander Accolade do this once, scream in frustration, and then run away and never do it again! LOL If you aren't aware the whole TF has a grand total of about 6 door missions and in the middle you are sent on a series of street hunts most against mobs so low you get absolutely NO XP and heaven help you if a Rikti Invasion, Baner event, Zombie ttack or any other Zone wide event occurs. One one Numina the team I was with had to wait while Zombies attacked Faultline ( so we could defeat 20 Vahzilok .. no XP) and then had to wait again while the RIkti invaded Talso (so we could battle 30 Warriors.. again for no XP). If you aren't into bagdes, don't care about the accolade and aren't after merits I'd suggest just skipping this one... The XP isn't even that great becausefew missions are against anything your level. I did one with a character that had 10 bars of patrol XP and still didnt manage to gain one level.

If you've just hit 30 there is likely more to do in Croatoa. Gordon Bower and Skipper LeGrange are the L25-29 contacts there, Kelly Nemmers and Buck Salinger the L30-34 contacts.

As others have suggested: consider flashback of the First Ward arcs then hit Night Ward.

Here's a list you may find useful. The Freakshow War (which can be acquired from other contacts besides Neal Kendrick; Tina Chung I think also gives it) is a very long arc that provides a ton of experience as the Freaks just don't know when to stay down. Freaks are also a good choice of opponent for Electric Armor users.
