What exactly is Superior Conditioning?
*sigh*
I'm saying they shouldn't have to come to the forums to ask a question like "Is Superior Conditioning a toggle?"
That would be like you coming to the forums to ask "Is Statesman a woman?" Read. The. Power. Info. In. The. Game. That's why it's there. Don't ask stupid questions, and you won't get snarky answers.

As an aside, and as a attempt to actually go back to constructive commentary...
The power info in the game isn't exactly that easy to find at times if you're new to the game. And the ways to get to the detailed bits aren't all that intuitive. Sure, if you've been playing the game for years, it might seem so, and yes, there are more ways than one to find that info. Can't recall for sure, but I seem to recall that while training up to a new level you can't get the detailed power info, and seems like it probably adds to the confusion of newer players. Maybe the help tool that's built into the game might actually be updated someday to actually show how to get the detailed power info...

It's not smart, cool or hip to be mean. It does not make you look smarter/cooler than the person asking what you consider to be a stupid question, it makes you look like a condescending, immature and mean person that cannot control themselves in a social setting.
You don't have to be mean you just chose to be... Brilliant....
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Be that as it may, thank you all for jumping to the defense of the OP from the "big, mean man," and rest assured I'll be taking my condescending, immature and mean self back to the beta forums.

Instead of being miss/mister cranky pants, you could have said something like "Superior Conditioning is X, and this information is found in game by doing Y or Z."
Then people wouldn't all up in your grill about it, and you wouldn't be miss/mister cranky pants, *AND* you would *TEACH* the OP how to do something s/he may not have known how to do, which means fewer questions you regard as "stupid and lazy".

Generally giving a lazy person the answer as well as instructions how to look it up themselves in the future doesn't promote them learning because they got their answer so why bother remembering how to do it themselves in the future.
Now if you just gave them the instructions how to look it up themselves could teach those who possess some motivation while those who don't have that would complain why you didn't just give them the answer.
It's like the child shouting from the other room asking Mom or Dad how to spell something every couple of minutes while they are doing their homework. At some point you have to stop answering and drop a dictionary on their desk, otherwise they will never learn. Of course this is a bad example in today's society since nearly any device you type into has some level of spell checking, including this browser.

Maybe they just prefer to get their info from another source.
Your reaction might be warranted if everyone were PMing you personally about it. But they aren't. If you feel the questioner doesn't deserve your help, feel free to withhold it.
Frankly, they're making use of an available resource. And it's far from lazy, as it's more effort to come here and type the question then check back periodically for the reply. But, even if it was stupid and lazy in part, the OP did ask multiple questions, and I don't think I've ever seen any power detail screen that answered the second of the OPs 2 questions.
Oh, wait, I know I once looked at one powers details, and it said quite clearly "This is the 3rd most beneficial power in the game." But, I can't recall which power it was, and even if I could, I might be then tempted to ask what #1 and #2 are...
I did choose to be mean, because coddling stupidity and laziness doesn't fix stupidity and laziness, it encourages it.

While I TOTALLY understand the underlying premise of the position your have taken from your perspective, I and others have offered what we feel is a slightly better perspective to view the OP's question from, therefore liberating you from the judgmental, condescending, narrow minded perspective you found yourself in earlier. YMMV.

I'm not hammering! If I were hammering I'd have called him names or something.

Get it right. Sheesh.
Plus,
Also, these and other helpful tips can be gleaned by reading the power's info in the actual game. |
"Now, if only there were some way to look at power information in the game itself. Like a description that pops up, or a button that would show the info when you pressed it. Oh, why haven't we been given such a useful tool?"
.... THAT would have been rather snarky, sarcastic, or even mean.
Frankly, I'm disappointed nobody went for the "improved hair control" reply.

So, the post taking you to ask for being needlessly mean seems quite in target. You took time out of your day, and effort to be snarky, sarcastic and condescending, because you didn't like how someone found their answers.
They choose to utilize a resource that is know to be a reliable one to get the info they wanted. And you're taking them to task for not using some other resource that you think they should have used instead?
Do you also go to wikipedia and edit the page on 'quantum tunneling' to deride people from using wikipedia when they could instead comb through the online physics journals?
And yes, I am also taking time out to critique. But that's because I actually like the forums as a resource. I like that folks come here, because the forums as a resource have greater value if more people use it. So I think that chasing folks off the forums because they don't happen to meet your obscure criteria to be 'allowed' to ask a question here seems counter-productive to me.
