A few Questions...

I have been away from CoX for quite awhile now and was wondering a few things:

1) If I respec is there a way I can save all my unused IO's instead of selling back automatically once I've finished slotting? I know I can purchase unslotting tokens and I may have to but it will take quite a few of them to remove all the ones that will no longer be in the new build and I would rather not simply "vendor" them.

2) I only just completed the Incarnate mission and I'm getting experience in different incarnate slots. Is there a way I can see those experience bars?

Thanks in advance.

Don't know about 2. but for 1. I know that when you reach the 'Enhancement Distribute' part of a respec you can take them out of their slots and put them back into your enhancement tray, though you can still only hold 10 at a time.

Welcome back!

Just FYI: No one calls it 'CoX' any more. City of Villains has been completely subsumed into City of Heroes. The other expansion called "Going Rogue" is now also completely subsumed into the game for anyone who is subscribed. The new moniker of the game is "City of Heroes: FREEDOM" which means that everyone just calls it "City of Heroes," or, "CoH."

As mentioned above, when you respec, you can put back as many of your slotted Enhancements back into the build. Those left over get "sold off" as if selling them back to a in-game vendor (which is certainly not a good deal!). You can move some Enhancements that you're not re-slotting to your Enhancement tray which is ordinarily 10 empty slots for storage or selling on the Consignment Market. And if you purchase extra Enhancement Tray storage slots, you can save even more.

On top of your Power Tray, click on Powers. In the Powerlist window, click on Incarnate Powers and there you go.

Also, you can open the Incarnate Powers window with the command:

/toggle Incarnate

Or, make it into a bind:

/bind Ctrl+I "toggle incarnate"

That's only true if a player never purchases any extra enhancement trays off of the store.

The store currently sells up to 4 extra enhancement trays which allow players the ability to pull 50 enhancements off of a build during a respec.

Extra trays cost 1600 Paragon Points

Players can also purchase Enhancement Unslotters which allows them to pull enhancements off of a build, 1 at a time, without burning a respec. Enhancement Unslotters can be purchased thru the store.
  • 120 Paragon Points (PP) for 1 unslotter
  • 300 PP for 3 unslotters (100 PP each)
  • 450 PP for 5 unslotters (90 PP each)
They can also be acquired by purchasing Super Packs as one of the random "prizes"

Players can also get Unslotters thru Paragon Rewards
  • 1 unslotter in Tier 6 along with the Boxing costume set
  • 2 unslotters in Tier 6 along with the Tailor Discount
  • 2 unslotters in Tier 6 along with the Assemble the Team power
  • 2 unslotters in Tier 7 along with the Experienced power
  • 2 unslotters in Tier 8 along with the Colored Titles option
  • 1 unslotter in Tier 8 along with the Remote Vault command
  • 1 unslotter in Tier 8 along with the Return to Battle power
  • 8 unslotters in Tier 9 (repeatable selection)

Awsome! thank you for the responses...

I found out that I apprently had 7 unslotters on my characters free of charge just waiting to be used so I'm in the process of using them up.

I'll go purchase the extra Enhancement bars so I can use those when I do my respec and save on unslotters for the MM I plan on keeping.

One more question though... and I may be totally in left field on this but I could have sworn that we could dual spec and swap them out. I thought one of my characters had 2 builds and I could swap between them. Am I thinking correctly on this and if so how do I access it again? At the Respec guy?

Thanks again.

You can switch to your other build at a trainer.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

You can have multiple builds on each character but if your asking if you can swap out enhancements between them, you can't. Each build has to be slotted seperately.

Ah ok.. just need to go to the Trainer to swap the build out...

Thanks everyone you've been a ton of help.

Just bought the 4 Enhancement bars so I'll be ready soon to do my respec properly

Plenty of people still call it CoX, which bothers me to no end (it bothered me even when CoH and CoV were separate games, now it's just silly).

I was at the Arbiter and was in the middle of a "test" respec to pull out a ton of currently unneeded IO's and I noticed that the "Fitness" Power set is no longer available. So I cannot select my "Health" and "Stamina" powers now. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

All 4 powers in Fitness are now inherent and will be granted to characters upon reaching level 2.

EDIT: Ninja'd, Forbin!

Fitness is inherent now so you get all four powers for free. You'll be able to add slots once you get to the part of the respec where you add slots.

Also with inherent fitness if you used all four powers before that frees up 4 slots you can use elsewhere because each power comes with 1 free inherent slot.

Thanks again... going back to play with the "test" respec.

I just pulled out 5 Ageis from my garbage build and was amazed at the prices they sell for... should have no problem filling out the build Plainguy suggested.

Thanks again

Chose the form of your snarky reply, mortal!

1. I meant to say "no one of import calls it CoX anymore"

2. I meant to say "no sane person calls it CoX anymore"

3. I meant to say "no one calls it CoX anymore except Adeon Hawkwood whom I have on ignore"

#1) You can purchase the enhancement tray increases. There are a total of 4 giving you 10 more slots each to carry enhancements for a total of 50. Though they are pricy at 1600 Paragon points each. You can find them in the shop under: Account services>Storage increase>Enhancement increase (1-4)

Gives you 1 tab on your enhancement tray per upgrade for a total of 50 slots. It ends up looking like this:

#2) There are a couple ways to check incarnate xp for your slots: Click Powers on the top left of your main power tray and then Incarnate Abilities on the top of that. You also get a badge for each slot you unlock. Click Collect>Badges>Accolades and put your mouse over the progress bar for the Incarnate slot badge and it tells you exactly how much xp you have and how much is needed to unlock it.

Wow! Very nice indeed.

Thanks again for the responses.

I picked up the 4 Enhancement upgrade bars and used some of my "unslotters" on my 2nd build on my MM which had tons of very nice IO's. I managed to save off all my old IO's on my Alt build and filled in perhaps a third of Plainguys build he let me see for my MM.

I have nearly 1B and nearly that in IO's I'm about to sell quickly to redo my build so with luck I should have Plainguys build completed in a few hours.
