What is a Good Farm?

What is a good Non-AE farm for a lvl +50 tank. I have the "Investigate Warrior Earth" but I am a little bored with it. Need something a little more challenging. I run it +4 x 8 and solo it only.

Freedom Server--GoldenFire Kin, Piler, I AM WAR, Sir Slickshot, Lil Pea, Captain Niteforce, Massive Package, American Chick, Orion K9 and more..

Really depends what you're after. Some people are more into livestock, so they go for dairy. Some concentrate on corn or wheat, though you may want to avoid those if you're a fire tank - too much of a chance for everything to go up in smoke as opposed to giving you an accidental steak.

... ok, smartalec answer out of the way, I think people are going to want to know what *kind* of a tank, and just how much challenge you're after. Carnies? Praetorians?

Two Bio-farms with one set to corn, one set to food crops, a fish farm, and a bio-ranch. Im able to feed up to 400+ with that set up. Set it up early, and the excess food is sold to get your industry up and running. Then, with tough and weave and most standard tank/scrapper sets, freakshow are a good farm target. even if its just a radio mission, you shouldnt have issues with them. they resist smash/lethal decently, but if you are farming, odds are you are fire, and they dont do well vs it.

The most popular farms heroside are:

Maria Jenkins, Warrior earth.
There are two missions that could be used. The one I use has Battle Maiden on the map and one glowie. Completing the mission requires completing both of these objectives, so it's relatively easy to avoid accidental completion.

Unai Kemen, Council Empire Earth.
Again, there are two different missions, both on the same map. One is a kill-all, the other requires clicking 20 glowies.

Harvey Maylor, Demon Farm.
A small outdoors map full of Infernal's Praetorian Demons (clones of Circle of Thorns behemoths). This mission is a kill-all, since it's the middle of a three door auto-chaining mission, if you accidentally complete it, you can abandon the mission and start over. You WILL have to do the first part again before you get to the demons, and I think that was Carnies, so don't complete the demon farm with the intention to reset unless you like redoing mission 1.

Unai also has many other big outdoor missions with a variety of factions, so it's worth scanning his mission list for something you enjoy fighting. There's a reason I've heard some people call him Unai Farmin'.

If you like Rikti, the Rikti War Zone arcs (multiple contacts) have a few different outdoor maps, plus a copy of the portal corps building and yard full of Rikti. I can't remember who gives it, but there's also a copy of that map full of Nemesis.

What are you farming for? Shards? Purp recipes? Threads? PLing lowbies? Tough enemies?
Shards - drops more often from Lts & bosses, so to max drop rate, max kill rate. Diff +1x8 for more lts and bosses. Higher diff wont spawn more bosses and take longer to kill, so no need to run +4.
Threads - da missions, same strategy as shards
Lowbies - da missions, +4x8, tsoo, cot mobs
Tough enemies - mobs that debuff you, da missions with banished pantheon, ToV. Unslot all your incarnate powers for extra challenge. For even more challenge, use the third build with empty slots.

An even better farm might be to join a team and do a TF or SF. You might be less bored that way.

Talking of which I farm Unai's BP mish (the one before the council farm) as it's actually vaguely fun and keeps me on my toes although less efficient.

To complicate matters, fire tanks are not allowed to play on farms here in the midwest at the present.

(People at work are looking at me funny because of the snort I released when I read this.)

Indeed, Old MacDonald is my fire/kin made with the idea of farming, never actually did it.
