Nice combos.. Water/Dark might be a theme option for me.. I need to look at that.. Thought I would see more Water/Cold or Cold/Water.. Figured that Dehydrate and Heatsink would be very very tasty...

Given how much ahead Water Blast is coming out ahead of Nature Affinity, I'm considering an early Storm/Water combination. Question being, Defender or Corruptor. Selling points:

Corruptor:
Hurts my enemies more.
Hurts tough enemies a lot more towards the end of the fight.

Defender:
Lower end costs in groups.
Better debuff numbers.
Pseudopets hurt more.
Can respec out of gale mid/late game if I chose. (Water already has good mitigation)

Looks like Defender has the edge, especially if I build as an Offender.

I've been in an aggressive mood lately... so, Water/Energy blaster for me.

Given what passes for "water" to a Shard native, though, everyone's going to look at the color of her effects and assume she robbed some unsuspecting blood-bank.

I don't know what I was thinking when I thought there wouldn't be a lot of Water/Storms around. Add me to that list as I have way too many Darks, Rads and Kins. Once NA comes out I'll be rolling a WB/NA corr.

I really want it ported into an Aquatic Assault so I can make an Elec/H2O Dominator, but for now that character's concept may be Water/Storm or Rad Corruptor.

Definitely going with a blaster, I just don't know what secondary set to use.

I'd go with Water/Elec if I didn't already have an Ice/Elec Blaster. And I'm played /Energy to death. Played /Fire and /Ice to 50 and was disappointed in both secondaries the entire way.

Maybe /Psy, just because I haven't played it much, but I already feel like I'm scrapping the bottom of the blaster secondaries barrel.

I have a cool name/concept that leans that direction, although I could also do it as either a Defender or Corruptor.

/MM is NOT at the bottom of blaster secondaries. Youll love it. If you end up not feelin it with /MM, try /dark. Water and /dark have great synergy on a blaster.

I'm going to go Water/MM blaster even though i just finished leveling and incarnating my DP/MM... I just love MM that much :3 I'm surprised i havent seen this combo mentioned much.

Thinking I may go Water/Traps Corr as well (too much AoE Scourge opportunity for me not to roll a couple of these)

Oh, I didn't mean it that way. I just feel like I'm running out of options. Psy is my likely choice - That's the secondary I gave my placeholder character. I've only ever gotten one to level 22 as well, so there will at least be something new there.

/Dark looks like an awful blaster secondary to me. Admittedly, I haven't played it. Am I wrong?

As an aside, I can't see ever playing a Dark Melee character ever again. When every character can have Sands of Mu, what's the point in going out of your way for Shadow Maul?

Probably Water/Storm, as lame and obvious as that combo is. I sort of like the idea of Water/Time too. Maybe implement some sort of metaphor of the 'Ageless Sea' or something to that effect.

My only hesitation is that my current "water" based character is an illusion/storm, which I'd rather not go through the trouble of re-creating as something else just because leveling up Illusion is like eating nails to me. A fun set once it gets going, but it's so godawful and slow before then. Maybe I'll just throw her on another server until I feel like buying a rename token.

Also, that sucks EvilGecko.

Oh :P well i recommend Water/MM(psy). MM grows on you.

/Dark isnt exactly terrible, its just very... unique. You need to synegize it well to get any sort of results. It just so Happens Water and /Dark are perfect for each other

Dark supplies an amazing melee damage boost and great ST, with some nice ST debuff.

While Water CAN be used entirely in melee, works off this boost, and can replace its "poor" St damage with darks. Not to mention geyser + darkpit = mag aoe stun.

Go for it! i had a lot of fun with my Water/Dark Blaster on test. The powers look great together, and like i said, synergize VERY well.

Haven't tried it out on beta (don't feel like having to reload/update that blasted beta server...AGAIN) but...i'm kinda leaning on a water/elec (or maybe /fire) blaster or a stormy corr or def. I tend to like thematic toons and the only thing up till now that made for good theme with storm (for me) was elec or ice...but water also fits that bill quite nicely...and I'd really like to get a stormy up there in levels (i've never made it to Tornado with storm being primary OR secondary).

Totally torn between a Water/Storm Corruptor and a Storm/Water Defender.

I expect I'll be happier when soloing on the Corruptor, thanks to the better damage scale.

On the other hand, I already have a level 50 Corruptor (Fire/Cold), and Defender would have better numbers for team support, defense buffs (Manuevers+Steamy Mist), etc.

Strangely enough, Dehydrate actually heals for more on a Corruptor than on a Defender. Not sure why that is.

Well I am definitely going the corruptor route (I have made many blasters and defenders, but oddly no corruptors, not even one!) so definitely corruptor. I am however, undecided as whether go with Rad or Cold... ugh. I am leaning on trying out both and picking which one I like better. Altitis is a serious issue.
