That is awesome. I am going to go check that out now.

You likely won't see recompense there either. You got the product, you cracked it open, and got the first big gulp. From there what happens might well be out of your hands, but is also out of theirs.

My suggestions, don't buy products that have that sort of risk, or, accept stoically the fact that it may happen.

And, perhaps still hit the tech section and try to do what you can to minimize that risk. But regardless of what you do, that risk will always be present to some degree with items of that nature.
That sort of risk is an after the fact discovery. Herein lies my basis of argument/discussion. For you its a thing you would not get into or invest in. "i" as a novice in the world of computer programming and MMORPG had no idea that i was exposed to loss in the capacity of using the things i bought.

I was unaware that if i used team insp I could in a way loose my money and waste it because the game could DC me.

i AM NO HOWEVER AWARE!

I dont mean to say that the game itself would cause this. I mean to say that the current bugs allow this to happen or rather creat a place for this occurance.

The devs can't be held responsible for every mapserver that happens because it's not always the fault of the game code and there's really no way to know when it's a game bug and when it's someone at your ISP spilling a beer on their console (purposefully, because they just got fired for engaging in inappropriate acts on their desk with the cleaning lady). That's why you won't get your money back.

Ok... yes, you posted in the tech issues board, but you missed the second link under the word "this" (now increased to size 7 for increased visibility). following that link to the "[Guide] Asking for technical help on the forums." thread, you should post the resulting "cohhelper" and "hijackthis" logs either as a reply to the thread you started in the tech forums, or as a new thread in its own right... ideally one where you start from the position of not appearing actively hostile, example;
-title: "experiencing excessive crashes, please help."
-opening post: "Over the past [timeframe] I've crashed [#] times, and the problem persists here's the cohhelper and hijackthis logs, any help would be greatly appreciated. {insert cohhelper log here}"
-reply to opening post: "{insert hijackthis log here}"

Also briefly describing the crashes could help a great deal. A crash to desktop (program closes with or without an error message) would have different likely causes than, say, crashing the entire system, causing a reboot.

EDIT: I continue to try to help you help yourself because I realized that the link in the word "this" might simply appear to be a bolded word, and not a link (as links n quoted text seem to lose their tell-tale underline).

I do get that, and I am sympathetic. It is almost always the case of 'live and learn' the hard way. Although, I'd strongly urge folks in a position to do so to give a full lesson in 'Caveat emptor' to every small child as soon as allowances happen. And while this phrase is often interpreted to mean 'beware' of shenanigans on the part of the seller, the truth is, often, that after a transaction, the seller has no more obligations, and really no control whatsoever of what happens after, even if they acted in total good faith. Meaning, that if you lose, break, etc your new item, be it virtual or not, it's on you to eat the lose, even if it isn't your fault, because it might very well not be the fault of the seller either.

Even before the paragon market came along, you were exposed to risk of financal lose before. For example, you pay your $15. Then the next day your internet goes out entirely. Not your fault. Not the games. If it takes your ISP 1 month to get the problem fixed, tehy might reimburse you the cost of that month of internet access, but they won't give you the $15 for you loss of CoH playtime. And CoH almost certainly wouldn't refund it too you either.

Again, it does suck, and I feel for ya, but, sadly, thems the breaks. Be glad it was a relatively small amount lost.

Wow. Hijackthis is still around?! Nice. Makes me all nostalgic. Haven't had a need to use that in a LONG time. Nice to see the old tool still is doing it's thing..
