No merits when you change alignment?

The first time you reconfirm or switch to a full alignment you get 50 reward merits, which just happens to be the amount you can trade in for a hero/villain merit.

If the OP does enough missions to trigger his next hero moral choice, then next time he will be rewarded a hero merit.

If that's the case it seems like a bug.
ah well, no worries then.
Now, if I could just figure out why I didn't ask this in the appropriate section.....gettin' older, I guess, and I need more caffiene.

If you change alignment, that's considered the reward in itself. If you reconfirm your hero / villain alignment, then you get the 50 merit reward.

Becoming a Hero again doesn't grant a reward.
Remaining a Hero after your next alignment mission will give you 50 merits.
Every Alignmement mission after that will give you a Hero Merit.
The only time a Hero alignment mission grants Merits of any kind is if you were a Hero to begin with. If you were a Rogue and switched to Hero it gives you none.
