Giant 'mushroom' cloud forms over Beijing
I'm certainly no expert....
but I happened to be in China last month and never saw the sun for the 15 days I was there. Travelling from Beijing to Shanghai, and various cities in between.... it was continual smog. I think what the picture may be showing is the miracle of sun breaking through the pollution.
A quick search of youtube videos of this "event" looks like a cloudy sky with the sun breaking though. Perhaps a spectacular event to a city that has not seen our life-giving sun for some time.......

Unless the smog is thick enough to cause something akin to volcanic lightning, the apparent lightning bolt in the picture clearly marks it as a storm cloud.
Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be

Oh... I thought this was about that other mushroom story out of China.

I find your lack of signature disturbing.

Then they realize that they could simply contract some Chinese company to manufacture their product for pennies on the dollar, which is good because all of those now unemployed and under employed Americans wouldn't be able to afford the product if it was still made in America (while maintaining the same profit per unit).

Amazing mushroom cloud over Beijing, China.
It's events like this that help remind us that although we may think very highly of our selves, we are incredibly insignificant compared to the 'force' that is nature.
