Is Twinshot Primal or Prae?

Ahh, yeah, that's who I was thinking off.

Isn't there a lot of stuff in Praetoria that points out that the "Eddie Polstra" identity is faked? Which would probably point towards Praetorian Eddie being dead (probably in the Hamidon Wars) since otherwise there'd at least be questions about the his namesake. (assuming they have the same name of course)

There's an arc where you recover the "secret" files about Eddie. He just came out of nowhere and some people were suspicious.

And mind you, that's in Praetoria.

Maelstrom's also the most loyal of all the loyalists - unlike the other major loyalist chaarcters, there doesn't seem to be even a hint anywhere in the content that he features in that he has any other plans or even a life outside his devotion to Tyrant - and he's also the only one of the major loyalist characters that Tyrant doesn't express any doubts or reservations about.

Tyrant + Maelstrom = Bromance.

Yeah, precisely, but my point is just coming out of nowhere would imply there wasn't an Eddie there already. (if so it would have been easier to have him replace PraeEddie)

Serving Tyrant in any capacity would imply Maelstrom was, y'know, competent at something other than getting his tail kicked and running away. I think that's why Tyrant keeps him around, really.

Well, that's basically what all the loyalists did once they encountered people who stood up to them - bullies are always cowards

Maelstrom is a whiney boot.

"Waah! I'm black ops and on a mission where I got caught (because I'm so awesome) my government denied culpability." (The very reason for black ops, duh!) "Then when I got caught again I turned traitor and shot my best friend! Waaah!"

Pfeh.

Which is kind of sad, really. Maelstrom is the only named Praetorian I have a 100% success rate at defeating in multiple instaces. From my first encounter with the dork as a controller in the late teens, to multiple encounters in Tip missions, and up through his final appearance in the TPN Trial, Eddie has not won a single battle. Why Tyrant didn't get fed up with he dork, rip out the maelstrom device (without the benefit of anesthesia), and install it in a random Olympian is beyond me.

It's like he's STARSCREAM, but, with all the ambition ripped out of him.

I'm truly shocked that nobody has challenged this yet...

Sorry, but I don't consider patch notes to be 'very reliable'.

'occasionally', 'sometimes' or 'usually' reliable I'd let you get away with, but my natural cynicism and past experience of patch notes refuses to let you get away with 'very'.

Not only do they have the same face, but their name's are pretty similar too.

Wasn't Starscream, y'know, actually half competent, though? He was just...easily sidetracked. Maelstrom's entire power is summed up as "he can use the Mediport system without actually having to flatline first".
