PvP; why not?

OK, a few days ago some of us did some PvP'ing in Bloody Bay and it was fun, no real trash talking, no vedettas formed (that I know of), & win or lose people seemed to just have a good time.

So, what I'd like to know is what would be the interest in maybe setting up a weekly PvP night, either pick a diffferent zone per week or go by highest vote for that week, just for yuks & fun, & maybe a chance for some PvP IO's.

Let me know what you think pro or con.

That was a blast, even if I was about 4-6 on one on one battles.

The funny thing? I was coming here to post this idea. What about making Monday night PVP night? Typically Monday is a sucky day (end of weekend, many people have to go back to work/school), so in the evening we blow of steam and take out our frustrations on each other!

Monday nights sounds like a good day to set it up for. Maybe a start time of 8-9pm(est)?

Since I am still jobless (still looking) time is not a huge factor to me.

With that said, I would like a little earlier. My wife and I are nocturnal most of the time (I am an insomniac) so we spend family time together late.

I like the idea of having 2 different days for different PvP modes, lets test the waters and see if we can make enough ripples. As for the time I suggested 8-9pm est as thats typically the time I get on, but I think I can manage getting on a little earlier on Mondays (at least for a few weeks, will have to wait to see about after depending on the job I'll hopefully be getting). Now Claws, if you don't mind going against a defender, I think I could give a run for you money, I do tend to stay close.

I vote for Siren's Call.

Without a zone event badge there, I have not earned the five hour badge for that zone.

Ok, Sirens Call seems like as good a place to start Monday Night Fights as any, hopefully there will be enough interest on the channels to get it off to a good start. Because of some 'unforseen' issues, I'm not exactly sure when I might be on tonight, but with a little luck I may be on around 7pm-ish, but please don't let me not being there hold it up, I'll try to get on as soon as I can.

I would not mind switching my SS/EA brute over for some melee matches if there were enough there to fight.

If I did, I'd like to try that Claw/regen in a match too.

I got my butt kicked quite often, but it was a lot of fun.

Heck, me talking a little smack to try and draw the villains out did not work either.

This is relevant to my interests. I haven't done any pvp since a lot of Pinnacle's pvp community moved on.

or why not all move your pvp toons to freedom where all the active(lol) pvp is happening in this bad game.

Meant to post a lot earlier, but was held up. Monday Night Fight Night got off to a bit of a slow start, but had a pretty good finish, a team each (hero/villian) of 4-5 going at it for awhile, balance going back and forth, I'd have to call it a fairly good success. Thanks to everyone who came out to fight & gratz to anyone who even got a recipe out of it, but more importantly just had fun. We'll do this again next week and hope to have more in the brawl, & if you're a reader from another server with a few transfers burning a hole in your pocket, feel free to come try it out too!

Ok, letting everyone know that we'll be doing the Monday Night Fight Night again tomorrow! I'll try to be on between 7-8pm est to try to get it started but by all means, if there are enough people on earlier that want to do it please start, I'll be just as happy to get into it in the middle as at the begining.

I will not be along for this one.

Going to give it another go tomorrow in Siren's Call. Monday Night Fight Night has been in the MOTD and I'll advertise on the help/LFG channels, with it being in a lower lvl zone we may get more interest. Hope to see more there!

I'll try to make it this week, but as of now, the wife is on the computer and not letting go.

I'd still kinda like to loosely organize some kind of league, preferably 1v1 or 2v2 (if I can talk my wife into dueling)

Super-casual stuff, just kinda some sort of ranking system that gets updated when someone gets around to it. Matches set up when 2 league members happen to be on (because I can't commit to a regular schedule for anything)
