How to do Incarnate content?

Again, from personal recent experience (on an emp defender, no less!!), this is just not the case. You are putting way too much emphasis on some how caring that other people are doing more damage than you are (of bleeping course they are, they have level shifts, stop worrying about it). I died once in four BAFs and once in three Lams - a total of two deaths over seven itrials - on a natural 50.
Having a level shift in BAF/Lam doesn't matter. Period. |
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
As someone has mentioned, there is not a particular order that it necessarily needed to be taken, as they are all new trials.
But technically we all speak from experience as it was not too long ago we were all new to them. My opinion would be start from the lower trials and remember to state to the leader that you are new to incarnates, and require further instruction.
My opinion if it necessarily came down to which trials to do in which order would be ; Slam, BAF, Keyes, TPN, DD, and then UG.(If UG). If you would like a run through trial by trial I am happy to do so via here or > @Cagney. <.
Start off with the smaller trial Slam, and work your way up. A majority of people, for example only recruit +1 or +2 for DD as it is higher level enemies ( I speak for Freedom only ), but the rest, except UG I thoroughly enjoy.
One thing i would suggest though, don't stick to pure BAF's (for example(a lot of people stick to the only trial(s) they know)), try them all, a lot. The emps and astrals from all help in speeding up the 'leveling' of incarnate abilities.
Apparently opinions are factually wrong now. I'll make a note of it.

Yes, which is why generally it is important to have at least one level shift, because otherwise you will spend the entirety of the trial doing nothing, and it will be completely boring. Not a good way to intro to the trials.

Yeah.... aside from posing as a fact, quite a bit of hyperbole there.

If you are even a little interested in the stories in these things (which I find actually fascinating, and make the activities in the iTrials a lot less confusing) then running them in this order is highly recommended, as later trials actively refer to earlier ones. Indeed, the TPN 'citizens of DOOOOOOOOOM' make very little sense at all if you don't follow the story. And wading through the TPN makes completing the MoM ever-so-much-more satisfying.
Also, you really should do an Apex/Tin Mage before running any of these. Old-school style is to craft the initial Alpha slot using Shards, even. Praetor Keyes directly refers back to the Apex/Tin Mage, for example.
Now, that said, once you have done this once, I find that by far, hands-down, the fastest and most efficient way to build T4's in everything (for now) is to farm TPN's. They are fast, simple, and give huge rewards compared to the time they take. (This is assuming you bother with T4's. I often do not. But I'm all lazy and stuff. )
If you find yourself short of VR salvage, you can mix in a few UG's to get that, as well.
The most important thing is to have fun!

yeah a level shift is nice but far from required so long as you've got a mix of shifts from others. But even so a full league of 50+0s can pull them off as long as they don't try for badges like keep em separated or the no acids/grenades.
The higher trials though, yeah, expect to faceplant often. Like, a MoM trial is nooo place for a +0.
