This is the fact that I don't particularly get when people mention not liking the NR animation.

Question: with a weapon drawn, do you actually *like* the standard running animation?

By far, the best travel animations in the game, IMO. Super Speed looks so damn plain, doesn't even feel like you're actually moving at super speeds. Maybe if they added the shadow effect like in Dual Pistols, it might look cooler.

As for SJ, maybe a idle crouched position might make more sense, as in having a character that is always ready for the next leap everytime he/she lands.

Hmmm.....
I am trying to avoid bagging on NR, as this thread isn't about that. I felt it best to just say that I (and other people) don't like the animations, and acknowledge that some people do like them, and some people don't have much preference either way, or dislike it a bit, but not enough to give it's it's obviously great performance. Therefore a set of alternative animations, or a separately available (for sale even) clone that has more natural animations would be the ideal solution. The NR fans are happy. The people that dislike it are happy. People that don't care much that already have bought NR keep it and don't have to spend more money, the people that haven't can pick the one that they find most aesthetically pleasing, and CoX makes more money to support the game due to people like Socorro and myself.

If someone wanted to create a new thread about NRs animations, I might weigh in there with my opinion on everything I feel about NR, but here isn't the place for debating it, in my opinion.

Edit: Actually, no, on second thought, I wouldn't. It's a matter of aesthetics. To paraphrase Synesence, I don't know what you guys could possibly like, but the animations are really bad. In my opinion. This is clearly a topic that can't really be debated. Those that like it, seem to do so genuinely, but can't possibly explain why. Those that don't, apparently can't explain why to those that like it either. I think it seems obvious why it looks silly (to me), and I'm sure those that like it think that the appeal is obvious (at least to them it is). Seriously, it really can't be logically. No evidence can be presented to support either sides position, so I'd not want to get into it.

The only thing on this topic that can be discussed is if there is any value to an alternative set of animations, either built into the same power, or (my preference) a separate power with identical mechanical benefits but a different, more natural looking, set of animations. This can at least be debated. And I'd say there are advantages to it, and no serious drawbacks to having an alternative, so this seems a no-brainer to me.

It does have a visual cue path aura.

That being said, I'd much prefer alternate animations. I'd prefer something more like CO or Hulk (either film), just something more natural and less stationary.
