They probably would have blown up the main page about it. Marketing and all that. I do not think its happened yet.
I think Freebie Fridays is scheduled to start with i23, though I'm not positive about that.

I expect most of the items to be consumables, like Team Inspirations and XP boosters and stuff like that, but as Frietag said, there hasn't been an official announcement yet, so we don't know what to expect.

even if its team insp ill still pick it up, i agree with rod though it will prolly be limited to 1 per account

Another interesting possibility is something new, like a new travel power along the lines of the hoverboard or a new pet or spiffy costume piece. After that, put it up for sale. People who didn't get it for free will see others with it and may have people decide they just gotta get it.

For the trial run, we'll be putting the item up at 4:00 PM PDT/7:00 PM EDT/12:00 AM BST this Thursday, May 10th, 2012. The item will be available until the same time (4:00 PM PDT) on Friday, May 11th, 2012. You can find the Freebie Friday item under the "Featured Items" section of the Paragon Market.
The reason for the times were given on the U-Stream today, the Market has to be manually uploaded for the changes and they didn't want someone up at midnight doing it.
At the Player Summit they announced a new thing they were going to try called Freebie Fridays on the Paragon Market. I was out of town last Friday with no access to my computer, so I was curious whether this happened. I think I recall them saying they'd be trying it out during the month of May to see how players liked it, but I could be mistaken.
Didn't notice any announcements or other threads related to this topic either.
