Couple of SoA ideas

Well, I was thinking. SoA's are pretty perfect as it, but I'm not a big fan of how...well..bland our inherent ability is.

I mean, it is nice but boring. Boring and practicle in TVTropes terms.

So I had a few ideas to spice it up a little. Make it a little more intresting.

1) The recovery/regen scales based on what % is missing. So the lower your HP/end, the higher is your recovery. I'm thinking stick it so it is a lot better at low HP/End, worse at max hp/end so that it balances out just the same over all, just helps more when your end is lower. This should improve SoA's at low end/HP so they can run toggles for longer.
2) Each attack now puts a stacking buff on you. When you use the same attack again in a small time window (5 seconds-10 seconds?), the stack will go and you will get some end back.
3) Make the focus on SoA's the force multiplier they can bring. For each ally effect by an SoA's buff (Be it TT:M, TT:A, TT:V, TT:T or Mindlink), the SoA gains end/hp regeneration.

You're right, the inherent is pretty bland but it goes a long way. Keep in mind that every bonus we get to regen/recovery from IOs or powers is based off of base numbers. Considering all other ATs have the same base numbers, SoA get a pretty good advantage when you're completely IO'd.

That said, I would welcome any additional bonuses to it as you mentioned but I would not want to see any drops to the current values. Considering the lore behind SoA are that they're 'power in numbers', I think the inherent bonus should have some element to incorporate that.

A buff that works on each ally 'hit' by the team powers..yeah, I can see teh idea behind it. But the numbers would need to be tiny, or it could become OP, especially on a Crab with perma Serum. Also, it does nothing at all to the solo Soldier.

Trying to think of other things...pretty much all I want with SoAs, is to fix that damn backpack on banes..cause not everyone checks the forums before making an alt build.

Also, give us the option for a Spiderling aura, like the one regent korol has.

Well, maybe the last one won't work, and I don't like the strenght in numbers idea, if it is Kheld like.

But what if at high hp/end it gave half current bonus, and at low hp/end it gave double? Gives you health/end when ytou need it.

As long as they don't touch the current values and just add something I'm all for it.

As far as a "bland" inherent goes, I don't mind if they are boring as long as they are useful.

I was just thinking the other day about Venom Grenade and thought, "Hmm, why not change this power to make it like the Leviathan Bile Spray?" You know maybe call it Venom Spray and make it work pretty much the way Bile Spray does. I just think it'd be more to the spider theme. Also, I really wish for a web slinging travel power, that is customizable. Let us choose whether or not we want the webs to come out of the tips of our crab legs, the bottom of our leg backpack, or our hands like SpiderMan. I was thinking about also making the backpack have 8 legs, to kind of look like Lord Recluse, but then we'd just have a lot of weird costume problems such as clipping, etc. So, what do you guys/gals think about my "Venom Spray" thought and "Web Slinging" ideas?

This would help a lot of spider builds both crab and bane in my opinion. Especially bane, since to me they seem to eat a lot more endurance *from what I've seen and experienced myself* Trilby, this would help your tankercrab a lot, since your running leadership toggles.

Soldiers of Arachnos are massively interesting, and very unique. I don't understand why people think every AT should have some sort of hugely exciting whizz-bang Inherent. It's just a power that helps round out what defines your AT. And for a Soldier of Arachnos, being well rounded is pretty much itself what defines the AT.
