Gosh, how often does THIS happen?

So doppelgangers... I haven't had good luck with them so far. My controller wears all black so his is practically identical except for the aura being a different color. My other controller becomes blonde. My fortunata, because her clothing pattern fakes her blue skintone (Stripe 3 is not available as a with-skin option), gets naked. My boyfriend's dominator loses all color coordination and is hideous.

But my scrapper? Holy crap, she actually looks like an evil version of the real character!

Good on the left, evil on the right.

Idunno, I just thought Evil Princess Helkath looked too badass not to share.

Hah! Agreed!

I hate to say it, but (like all good villains) I think she looks better that way!
(I don't mean that as though you should change the costume... just sayin'... villains look cooler!)

My main almost works out well with it (in his nearly all black outfit) except that the goggles with reversed colors look bad.

Lucky. All my characters look ugly as evil dopplegangers!

to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

I seem to have had fairly good luck, but then, I also tend to not jigger too much for effect with the CC. Not a criticism of either of us, just a statement of how I approach things. I will see what I can do about getting some shots of them together--I tend to demo edit those battles thinking it might be useful at some point, so they are documented. (yeah, really nerdy)

I sometimes design a costume with the intent of it looking good when dopplegangered

Same here, only switch "sometimes" with "usually try to".

I think about doppelgangers when creating a costume, at least enough to set secondary colors even when they're not used. I won't go to great lengths to change what I want only because of doppelganger issues. And inverting the hair is a weird one indeed.

My doppelgangers have varied from terrible (esp. before I learned to start setting unused colors) to acceptable, but the last time I ran into a doppelganger he was nearly cooler looking than my character. Of course, he was also a mastermind dopp, so he just went ahead and died before he got a chance to finish summoning everyone...
