Base suggestion(s)...

This may not be the proper place to suggest it, if not please move to a proper place (tyvm in advance).

It seems to me Bases are lacking in a few things, but the bulk of this meant primarily for loot junking and possible infamy/prestige conversion from influence garnished from the base it's self.

Here is the short version for ideal:

--Either make a new SG item to achieve that functions like auto-doc (and magical counter) or just upgrade the auto-doc's functions.
--Upgraded version or new SG base item can allow the junk selling of enhancements
----((BUT Stromgard we already have Superpowered Field Traniers for such things)). Yes but they do not exist in base nor allow for the following ideal.
--Items sold will have a depreciated value (imho prices should stay the same since they are already technically depreciated value from the cost of buying). The value of what is sold and bought (or somewhere in the middle there of) can be applied to a reserve that can only be transformed/exchanged for base prestige... much like at the Super Group Register does for the individual... only for the base.
----Mind you this SG reserve can not be tap by individuals... it can only be used to convert into SG prestige.

EXAMPLE: The SG as a group make the new SG item they can junk/sell recipes, inspirations (all), enhancements, and salvage. The difference (or somewhere in the middle there of) is applied to a SG holding. (i.e. say for the month, 100,000 respites were sold thru the SG vendor. The value to buy new is 50 and the value to sell is 25... so say 25 influence per respite goes to the SG holding fund/reserve = 2,500,000 influence...just for the respites alone.

Then that reserve can be converted to prestige much like at the Super Group Register.... can even set it to the same value ratio.

WHY? A good question. To me it seems like Bases no longer have any real value... short of a few Hazard Zone via teleport room. Base Raids have seem to take a dive ever since PvP zones and the loss of Items of Power. The only ones really gaining any kind of fun factor are the few ppl that have access to actually build the base with.

Now this is not withstanding Pride and esprit de corps... because there are those that will farm prestige just so their base has everything possible, and love nearly every minute of it.

However giving a reason to actually go into ones base, and that helps the SG out over time... to me sounds like a good reason as any.

-get the Items of Power back on line plz
-mission computer should have a trial that allows for Rikti fighting in order to gain Accolades like Watchman badge... one month a year is awesome but I have missed it every year myself :P me thinks a worthy tough trial via mission computer is needed, that at the least rewards something of worth.
-add 5th column base stuff to the items list as decorations
-add or adjust current teleport room sizes (?x?)... don't see a need (for example) to pay for a Bay when all that is needed is a chamber in regards to size, with the new hacked/magicked... not so much a cost thing it is a size thing (i.e. room could actually cost more for all I care just and option to have a smaller room to shoe horn with =D )

all I got for now thanks for reading.... I am sure there are a ton of reason not to or why it can't be done (ever/now). I am just tossing out my 2 cents and giving food for thought.

Ignoring anyone is a mistake. You might miss something viral to your cause.

This way I can brush through the base and set the entire planet rocking off its axis...

Honestly, I'd love to see non-functional (decorative) versions of things like the Robo-Surgery/Spirit Signal added too. I'm a one-account Super-group (my main and several of my alts), and I'm not likely to earn them on my own, but I want them just for the looks anyway....

Ah, the decorator's call for the non functional... got to love it. At least you guys are consistent. No offense and you are certainly entitled to your view. I just think we need to head in the opposite direction. In this case, I think the OP's main point was:

Specfically, wrt to the Auto Doc, though he/she did not say it, my take was the desire for a functional upgrade that distributed all the inspirations to everyone in a supergroup [edit add: Actually, I think making it a give/sell off type item is more correct.].

I'm for anything that makes bases more fun and functional for everyone. That seems to be the real direction the OP was headed.

Sorry but unless I misunderstood your idea this does not sound good.

If I understand your proposal, then using your example this would increase prestige earnings by less then 1/20 of 1% (1000 extra prestige for every 2,000,000 made killing) of what is currently earned, and would require players to spend hours running to the base and selling just to see 5000 additional prestige.

Lets use your example…

100,000 respites AND OTHER INSPIRATIONS = 2.5 million influence which = a whopping 5000 prestige.

In order for you to earn 100,000 inspirations, not just respites, you will need to kill somewhere in the neighborhood of a million critters. A level 50 killing just minions currently makes over 10 million prestige killing that much. So in the end this would add less then 1/2000 extra prestige (5K/10M) to what the level 50 would make before adding this feature.

Worse still to make that ratio of 1/2000 you would need to go to the base whenever you had filled up 20 inspirations and leave the base with no inspirations, meaning as many as 5000 trips to the base for no other reason then to make 1 prestige per trip. In the minutes time it takes to go to the base and trade in 20 inspirations for 1 prestige most level 50s could kill 8 minions and earn 100 prestige, thousands of influence as well as a chance for recipes and other rewards.

If on the other hand you only take advantage of this feature when you were already going to the base anyways then the ratio of 1/2000 becomes even worse, probably 1/20,000 and still requires you to leave the base with no inspirations. The only ones who might get a better ratio are those players who die A WHOLE LOT and never use an inspiration, which may explain why they die alot.

I would much rather the devs spend their time on almost anything then to give us a system to allow us to work for 1/2,000 to 1/20,000 more prestige.

Not to de-value your opinion or anything but its a lil narrow view of what I was saying. All loot would be included in this upgrade (i.e. inspirations, enhancements, salvage, recipes, etc.).

I think your right that their are certainly more important things the time could be spent on... can never refute that point short of a game killing bug needing mashed.

I do believe though any efforts that give base more purpose to a group is is definitely in the category of "good". Besides that, any drop in the bucket of more prestige gain is still bonus prestige or more prestige gain.

Personal view: after a mission I am fairly filled up with regular 50 I/O's and what I would deem as junk temp powers like analyzer MK III (for example) and 53-54 SO's. To the point I trash them on the spot just to make room.

Now imagine, I could go use my emergency base portal to base (or zip/jump/fly to portal) vendor trash them for some pool to be used for bonus Base prestige later... exit and ready for the next couple runs. Multiply that by actual active players. So yes even abysmal ratio still adds up over time.

I know people that next to never enter base... they have no need to and that to me is kinda sad.
