ETA on staff

why is this set being pushed back? Are we looking at April.... which would just suck

I'm not sure something can be "pushed back" when it has never had a release date, but sadly yes, the producer's letter seems to imply Staff won't arrive this month.

That's just horse sheet if you ask me. Beast Mastery needs a lot help....

The going theory is they don't want to release yet another melee set before putting something else up for offer.

Timelines>Deadlines>Mandates

I'm not sure I buy that theory, though. There are three and a half (dom dark assault) melee sets listed on the market with two and a half ranged sets and five support sets. I think they're just st spacing out releasing stuff so they don't have a long window where nothing new is on the market.

Z already confirmed the scheduling deal. Sucks but that's their method.

It annoys me a bit because I was looking forward to level a Staff stalker during double exp.

Puts it into next month so still really close. Puts it on before Easter weekend sooo some free time is likely for many to level, aaaand really I just have no desire for MM sets. Beast Mastery could be considered the best power set in the game, completely over powered, and I still wouldn't have interrest in a MM set. I have one at 50, the playstyle just isn't for me.

Their old model for releasing issues wasn't much better than this, as we never would've seen this many sets in the given timeframe, under that model.

The fact is, the Paragon Market, gives them the ability to create powersets without having to have an issue tied to it (resource wise) which in turn allows them to keep creating powersets year round, provided they are selling, as each sold set gives them more resources and incentive to keep going.

It may seem like it on the outside, but further digging makes it clear, if we were still under the old 'release everything we've got ready for prime in a single issue' model, we wouldn't even be talking about BM or Staff as they never would've been created to begin with.

It's the ability to put things out without an issue that gives us all these new sets, more than double any previous year already! It's one thing to be upset that we have to keep waiting, which is a by-product of the increased awareness caused by open beta by the by, but try not to be angry with the way it's done. I think the term has something to do with horses that were gifts.

Maestro is right. They've been able to put out more sets this way and that's an improvement.

Besides, the "delay" is giving me time to work on my TW scrapper. Made it just for giggles on last day of dbl exp, never thought I'd like the set... wow was I wrong.


And Staff will never be completely right until I can make my Staff/Time corrupter.

SO MAD RITE NOA. I cant believe they would make us wait even longer. The no 2xp thing was unforgiveable and then they go and do this? Screw that I wont be buying the set till the price goes down.
