Missing Shoes!

Forgive me if I overlooked a thread on something like this, but I couldn't fine one.

I am missing some shoes. I paid for several of the the Pocket D costume parts (but didn't get the whole pack, just what I thought I'd use to conserve some points) but now I find that there is one part I can no longer access or even find in the costume designer...the club shoes.



As you can see, I had them and made a costume with them, but now the costume is locked and when I look for that part on any other character it isn't available. When I try to load the saved costume file to another slot, it singles out the shoes as the problem.

Is this fixable or just a lamentable loss?

A similar thing happened to Steele Magnolia, in another thread ( http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=286170 ). From reading both threads, it's sounding like the only real way to have validly gotten the heels is by buying the whole pack, and any piecemeal purchase of the heels was an 'error.'

I say error in quotes because unless they specifically stated the heels were a bonus at the time ( which I don't remember them doing), you and Steele and anyone else with this issue should have your shoes back. But that's going to take escalation at this point, as well as more information.

As he said, I have the same problem. I bought them piecemeal, rather than as a set, and have now lost them.

It looks as if the following patch might have had a problem with it:

It appears to be the case that if you bought the strapped heels (and could use them) that the "fix" produced a false positive.

Ideally Paragon Studios will do the right thing and empower the GMs to make a one-time change to correct the situation.

Either way, I suspect it would take a very senior GM to handle this so if you get stonewalled (and you will as the low level GMs will just parrot the patch notes), escalate this.

Thanks for the replies. I bought the heels as a discrete purchase (didn't get them as a bonus or anything, assuming I understand the bug right) so I assume I *ought* to have access to them.

Hair, metallic top, metallic skirt, heels. That's all I bought. All the other parts work fine.

Well, I'll check to see what the game thinks happened and see about opening a ticket. Preemies can do that, right? I'll check again when I get a chance tonight.

Yes, anyone can use that command. However as a Premium player, you have to file a support ticket outside of the game.

Well, I used that command and while it never did create a log file for me, I did scroll through the mind-numbingly long list. I saw the hair, the metallic top and skirt, and...a casual dress shirt. Which I most assuredly did NOT buy in place of the heels. No strapped heels listed (though given the sheer size of the list and squirrely clickiness it's possible I missed them, but I don't think so).

The ticket is open and I'll see what happens. If it can't be resolved, I'll be sad but it's really not that big a deal. I'll just do it right next year I suppose.

Yeah, I'm happy to hear that there are some GMs still that can get things done. Hopefully Steele Magnolia and others facing this issue can get their accounts fixed as well.
