I was reading the thread in the general forum and I was just thinking whether you would buy it or not...

Granted I only assumed because of the discussion about the flying disc power we all had in another thread.

"not buying" = Currently. We don't expect you to be buying constantly. But your exact words leave the openness to the idea, in the future.

And you will. Eventually.

Like you did coyote.

I might never buy the Leprechaun.

The Coyote travel power is a REMOTE possibility, if they put it on sale.

You are already flip flopping.

Words have meaning, son.

Is it the INSANELY LAUGHABLE EIGHT HUNDRED POINTS they are charging that is putting you off for now?

Or that he clashes with most of your wonderful costumes/concepts?

Both, but mostly the insane price.

Oh but this one DOES SOMETHING! 10% more inf gain. Still not really worth it (to me) but I bet to some people it is.

i would be tempted to get it, 10% inf gain is very nice, stacked with a windfall power (which gives 25% inf gain) your getting a hefty chunk of extra inf

no i do not agree with the price of the power, but im still tempted to get it since it is limited time only (till 31st then we may not see itagain for another year) and it actually does something compared to the other vanity pets

I have a tendency to buy the stuff that's only available for a fixed period of time. But 800pts? /e boggle. For 10% more inf? Does it increase other drop rates too? Is it unkillable or is it like the vet reward pets that buff you but die instantly when you're in combat?

Unkillable? I thought it was like the veteran pets that provides powers. If it's unkillable, that changes EVERYTHING!

Why question me? It never works out.

I thought it was unkillable, but in the discussion thread, pretty sure someone said it had an annoying death animation and died easily? But then others say it aggros/hold aggros well?

The more people buy these things at these prices, the more things like this are made at these prices.....

Making more inf is good, of course. And unkillable keeps it from being a total waste of time. Still, how much of your wealth is based on inf obtained from defeats? You can probably make more vendoring your common IO recipes or listing them in the AH. And, get one decent purple or rare drop and it blows away any inf you've earned from defeats.

Let's say on your journey from 1-50 you make 50mil inf enemy defeats. Making 55 instead? Meh. Increase my chance of drops - now that would make it interesting.

The thread in general originally said that it was as much a squishy as the Veteran ones.

Then someone said theirs was unkillable.

So the first person tested it again, and it was then unkillable.

The conclusion was that it apparently was changed/updated to unkillable.

Does any of that sound reassuring? Not really.

If it's unkillable than it's basically a perma 10% inf buff. Mr. MP does have a point about kills not being a major source of inf generation, but what about the Double XP Weekend coming up? Wouldn't that effectively be a 20% boost?

If I wanted inf so much, I'd just spend the 800 pts on super packs and sell the ATOs and use the merits to buy stuff to sell. It would take a long time for a 10% bonus just on inf earned to beat that out.

Even the 10% will not tempt me at low levels you will hardly notice it and at higher levels I can earn plenty anyway.

well i did actually buy it cause i wanted the inf bonus lol

and yes it is unkillable, and untargetable, it doesnt seem to stay alive through zoning but thats fine, it moves at about the same speed of the the vet buff pets

Hmm. I foresee a kelly green outfit being added to all of MG's toons.

However, MMP has the right of it. The 10% inf bonus is not a particularly good ROI for 800 points. However, if it shifted the drop tables......

If it actually did that, I could see packs of black wolves ridden by leprechauns following groups during tfs.
