Macroing a power and a costume change

Hi,

ParagonWiki lists the format of what I am trying to do (switch to a winged costume when activating fly, switching to unwinged while turning off fly) as being something like:

/macro f "powexec_toggleon fly$$cc 1"
and
/macro l "powexec_tggleoff fly$$cc 0"

However, only the second command will activate when I use the macro. I've waited for costume change to reactivate, switched the order of the powers, etc. Any ideas?

Thanks

Just to be clear you arent trying to cram both of those commands into one macro are you?

Thanks for the quick reply!

Well, I would like to be able to change into the winged costume and activate fly with one keystroke, ditto for the reverse.

Is this impossible?

Never mind, did it as a bind to the keyboard instead:

/bind f "powexec_toggleon fly$$cc 1"
and
/bind l "powexec_toggleoff fly$$cc 0"

As a keybind, does the costume change happen along with flight activating?

I know for power keybinds that can activate multiple powers that it a) activates one at a time, and b) starts from right to left. So you'd hit it once, and get cc 1, and hit it again and get toggleon fly.

As a keybind, f is currently activating fly and the winged costume, and l is turning off fly and changing into wingless costume-- both in one stroke, as long as the costume change timer is done.

Ah, cool. I was wondering if that was the cause for the macros not working.

have you tried reversing the order

i.e.

/macro f "cc 1$$powexec_toggleon fly"

there are some things which will interrupt the executed command - don't know if the costume change is one of them.

Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant

Unfortunately, reversing the macro order just made the only new second command take effect. Keybind, strangely, does not have this problem for me.

Actually, this is a myth. The reality is it executed from left to right - activating the first which is cancelled by the second activation and so on down the line. So, it appears to be going from right to left since there is nothing to cancel the right that one is activated.

The reason the macro is not working (or working in reverse) is really for the same reason as above. The first power is being cancelled by the second and the first costume change is being cancelled by the second. I know you have accomplished this using two binds and that works just fine. The reason is it works is because you have only two commands which are not mutually exclusive to each other on the bind. There is another option which would be using two bind files which would call the other one to allow you to utilize just one key. But, that is a little more complicated (but, not overly so).

I could be mistaken, but I got the feeling he was saying that, as a macro, he would either get the costume change, or the toggling of fly, not both,

I was just trying to get macros on my tray to do what the binds do (one for fly+wings, one for the opposite). Not a big deal.

Not only that, it'll only work for Toggles. You can't activate 2 clickies with a Keybind.

/bind k "++$$powexecname Build Up$$powexecname Aim"

Two clickies with one keybind.

There are all kinds of sneaky ways to do things with binds.

This is largely irrelevant, as we were talking about a toggle and, practically speaking with toggles, it works right to left, whatever the literal background invisible to us process is.

I thought I remembered having build up and solar flare on a single keybind, but it was so long ago I can't really swear to it.
