anyone uses COH Titan Waterworks tool?

It's here http://cit.cohtitan.com/waterworks/ and claims to help you keep track of the incarnate salvage you need.

I'm all for it, I hate being rushed into picking something aafter each trial, and have many characters to keep track of, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to use the tool. The designer's brain must not work the way mine does.

for one thing, even if I click on "remaining" then select an ability, it shows up as "obtained"

Does the tool work? anyone uses it? anyone feels like writing up a quick tutorial by example?

Don't know how it works, I will let you know after I give it a shot tonight. Thanks for mentioning this, I spend more time after iTrials trying to figure out what piece of salvage I need from the rewards table than anything else.

I must admit I gave up wtih it too.

Personally I just open my salvage and see what I got compared to what I'm offered. If I got one already I get something different on the grounds that if I had what I need already I'd use it.

I like the notion of Waterworks but I'm not sure if it's trying to solve a problem that isn't really there, in a somewhat complex way.

This sums up what I do 90% of the trials I run. About the only stuff I won't do this for are if I'm looking for a specific rare or ultrarare to make a T3 or T4 I have in mind, and those drops are few and far between. Trying to keep track of what specific pieces I have in mind for a dozen different incarnates is too much for me.

I tried using it, and I too gave up on it. I consider using the tool more complex than mapping out what I want.

Having a tool to plan out the Alpha Slot using pre-iTrial shards and TF drops would have actually been more meaningful to me. For that, you need to plan what content you will play in advance. With iTrials, this is unnecessary: you just pick the reward you need of the rarity that you get. When the reward window pops, I look at the Incarnate window's "create" tab, look at the powers I am working on, see what I need, and pick the right thing. Planning out how many of what are needed doesn't seem particularly necessary.

I use Titan Waterworks extensively. After a fairly steep initial learning curve, I now find it accurate and fairly useful in incarnate building with my large stable of alts. I'll see if I can put together a simple guide at some point, but you may want to ask over at the Titan Network forums. Lots of friendly folks there, although it does look like a similar request in November does not have any responses.

Er, just curious why y'all don't just send email to yourself listing out what you need for a particular character? I pretty much exclusively use the email for making little notes for myself such as why I bid on random salvage and such in the AH.

I will beat DeProgrammer (the Waterworks developer) mercilessly with a large stick and see what happens.
