Alas, that was the last official event NCSoft Europe ever did for us before it got nuked from orbit. I would love to see another event like it but I highly doubt it'll ever happen. If it does, I will do the underpants dance again. Gladly.
As it is, Omega Sektor no longer exists. It's just a gutted shell of a building in the middle of Brum now. But there will be the Unofficial Meet this September which also takes place in Birmingham. The thread for it should be very close to this one in the European Lounge.

I barely remember that weekend now, it was that good, great fun just meeting everyone face to face, let alone all the games and free pizza being thrown around. The unofficial meets in Birmingham have been going on for a few years now though and they're plenty fine enough for meeting friends new and old, make some new memories and best weekends ever

Yep, I was there - had a great (if half asleep) time running Taskforce Omega (I still have the custom character from Team Solid (and one of the shirts made for the team)).
Anyone know if this is still in place?
Shame I'm no longer in the UK.

We did have a special guest in the form of White Sands from the Brighton NCSoft office back in 2010, but he unfortunately couldn't make it to last years event. I'm still hoping to try and kidnap someone for this years meet, even if it is just a random person :P
It's a shame Omega Sektor had to close, as it would've been ideal. At least Global Gaming is just around the corner though

The Unofficial Meets are always awesome and even if no-one from Paragon decides to grace us with their presence I'm sure I'll end up doing something embarrassing again. Fortunately last year it was just Spad and I turning up in identical, limited edition t-shirts that were only available to buy for 24 hours. Don't ask about what happened at Omega Sektor, I've tried to scrub it from my memories.
And yeah, we're all still there in Firebase Zulu even if my surname is spelt wrong. Again.

Kerensky with a concussion
Sleep deprivation
Traumatized security guards
Several anxiety attacks
I think on early Sunday morning with no sleep I wound up rabbiting to Kall before heading off in a daze to be delivered to a friend's house, where I slept off the lack of sleep, had more pizza, and wound up heading home on Easter Monday.
Oh, we got NCSoft Backpacks. Mine was red and I still have it, though it's a little battered now.

I still have the Arachnos cape I won in the "badge" hunt tied to the back of my chair.
Much fun was had. I still got the interviews with War Witch, Ghost Raptor, Kerensky and Rockjaw too... and Ms Liberty and Ghost Widow's breakers.

Tygrrfang and I still have the dev-signed CoV Standee in our study. I remember bringing 24 cans of Jolt Cola and our team the 'Omega 8' handing War Witch the 45+ page backstory for our team. (Much to the amusement of Rockjaw and Ghost Raptor)
The weekend was made of awesome... and I still have my Empath, Limited from the event on Defiant. Never did find my name in the Shard though.

Yeah I remember, still got my photo of me, Ms.Liberty and Ghostwidow they did the photoshop effects to. Good weekend except for sleeping in a room full of snoring people and one guy having his stuff stolen from the room everyone kept their stuff in.
Oh yeah and the member of staff who managed to let someone steal a massive bundle of CD keys because he just left them lying around.
Good weekend though. Liked having my toons sketched.
Does anyone else remember/go to this back in March 2008?
Don't know about anyone else, but this (as sad as it is) was the best weekend of my life. Competitions, Games, 24/7 Beer, Ms. Liberty and GhostWidow models... Need I say more?
What's the likely hood of another event like this to happen again in the future? Thoughts and Comments please!
