Farewell
That's the nice thing about the game.
You can pick it up again from where you left off when you come back.
You don't ever truly "leave" the game anymore.
Still, I can understand you needing to rearrange your priorities. Once you're straightened out, come on back and say "Hi."
Take care, and safe journies!
We'll keep your cape clean.

I took a two year break to pursue RL business interests. Now with those secure I have more time than ever to play city. See you on the flip side.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
Sad to see you taking a break, Sirken. I hope it all works out and we'll see you back in a while.
Take it easy and best wishes.

Take care and be well OP.
I just want to say thanks for posting this. I myself recall that first time I had to really quit gaming just to take control of the habit.
People often joke about thier gaming habit, thier addiction, but rarely appreciate how apt those words really are.
Fortunatly COX is a game that caters well to a casual style and in time once I had managed to screw my head on abit straighter and accept it was just a GAME, then spending some time on having FUN felt like a enjoyable hobby again, rather then the 2nd profession and alternate life it had become dangerously close to becoming.
Ive seen gaming addiction do far worse. Ive seen it suck friends into a life where they drop everything RL to make a raid or guild meeting.( curse you WarCrack)
There are still scars on my gaming mentality, the overtones of arrogence that once you have been a hardcore gamer never leaves you, the absolute certainty of being right in every discussion without the need for charts or stats because I have been there and done that or better in days when the challenge would break a newbs will like Blue Steel did to a psionically gifted boy's body once upon a time.
Fortunatly with those scars also came understanding, as guised under elitism as it may sound, that I still favor working more often with casuals,LoreRPers, and even good natured new players interested in learning the game rather then trying to force the game to bend to thier knee.
Hopefully in time the OP to can get a firm grasp on his life, so that one day the game can become that again for him, and he can return to have fun with the rest of us.
I hope you're able to get your R/L affairs in order quickly and to your satisfaction.
Peace, love, and chicken grease.

So, I have been playing this game for 3 years. I love it. A lot. I have enjoyed virtually every second of running around Paragon City. Taking on each new challenge as a new hero was an exhilarating experience. Slogging my way through masses of enemies as a level 50 character was a deeply satisfying time. I took a character in each blue AT to 50. Each one was a beautiful experience. Some of you may know them, Abominable Snowbeast(Ice/Ice/Ice Tank) Storm Rider(Storm/Sonic Defender) Elemental Spark(Fire/electricity blaster), Mortimer B(Fire/Kin Controller), and finally Ember's Ward(Fire/Shield Scrapper)
THEN! Something glorious happened. I finally rolled a Warshade. This character was the first to take my name, Sirken. OH I loved it. It was my first purpled toon. I was doing things I never thought I would do. I had a blast!
Time went by.
It started to grow more apparent that the game was taking on a more important role in my life than perhaps it should. Things in Real Life were suffering due to my game time. It became obvious that a change was needed. So with a heavy heart, I must hang up my cape. I bid all you heroes a fond farewell and all you villains a stern warning, I may be gone but I leave the city in capable hands.
Happy Gaming everyone!
