Locked out of content I've paid for

This is ultimately a minor issue that I'm hoping will be resolved soon.

I'm a VIP and have purchased access to all the power sets that aren't free to me.

I have two characters on Exalted, one uses Beam Rifle, one uses Street Justice. Both are locked at the moment and on the character select screen I am given the option to go unlock them with points when I attempt to log in as these characters.

In a similar but perhaps unrelated issue, on another character when I logged in I noticed that invention origin enhancements in her inventory were labeled as "locked" and required an invention license in order to use them. In this case, simply moving the enhancement or picking it up and putting it right back fixed the issue and the red text that was in error was removed.

This is live, not on the beta server. I assume it may be connected to a server-side hotfix.


To add to the confusion, I have a copy of one of those characters on the Victory server, and that character is NOT locked. It's the street justice one.

Funny enough, I've run across this a few times myself. The "solution" I've found was this; log into another character and go back to the one that's "locked out". For me I've always been able to log into the "locked out" character the second time. Mind you, I've logged onto other characters on the same server so I'm not sure if that's had an effect or not. Experiencing a similar issue.

recently lapsed on my VIP status.
While I was Premium(Tier 9 Rewards) my characters got locked, so I unlocked a couple that I wanted to play with.
Renewed my VIP status, but the characters i didn't bother to unlock are still locked. I'm very Obviously VIP again as I have full posting capabilities. For further proof of VIP my Incaranted 50+3 that I unlocked has full access to his powers, and last weekend I was able to participate in the Stalker run of the LRSF on the Beta server

theres more then one Post about similar behaviour. A example is following:

Its the market server cache that is stored on each server seperatedly (for when real market server is down) that have synchronizing issues sometimes it seems.

But well this is nothing we here in forum can help you with on this problem, the only chance of help here would be if a "red name" accidently stumble upon this post.

Best chance of help would be filing a bug report and link them to these post's.

I'm a VIP currently and am having the same issue on Exalted as well. My beam rifle toon is locked now. Very weird!

In another example of what I think is the same issue in action, last night, I experienced the following.

After switching among various characters and e-mailing crafted IO's back and forth, I logged into the character I wanted to claim the IO's I had sent to myself. I opened my enhancement inventory window, and all five of the empty slots were greyed out, as were the five IO's I had sitting in his enhancement storage. I was unable to claim the e-mailed IO's and unable to slot any of the ones currently sitting in his inventory. I received a message along the lines of, "You do not have access to this feature," when I attempted to do so. Zoning, however, cleared up the problem and made it possible to claim the e-mailed IO's and access the unused storage spots in my tray.

Based on the rest of this thread, it looks as if the server failed to recognize that I was a VIP for a while. I would have liked to know what would have happened if I had tried to claim an SO from e-mail or slot one from my enhancement storage.

Interestingly, given the rest of this thread, this was on a Beam Rifle character.
