I'd rather see animals in a beast control set.
Just from the fact that it's a wolf, I don't think it'll be the tier 9 power. That's purely a hunch, but I've tended to be right about stuff like this.
although I'm purely speculating, I think this pet will be earlier in the powerset (if that's a genuine pet pet), as an interesting twist on the "pet power" powersets that doms and controllers get access to. it may also not be alone, might summon 1-2 wolves, might be a power that spawns wolves from corpses, or spawns shadow duplicates of mobs from the corpses of those mobs. might even spawn shadow duplicates of teammates.
In any event, the art team sure is excited about the four-legged models. I wouldn't be surprised to see various kinds of centaurs at some point.

Well, let's just hope Dark Control isn't too pet-heavy because we already know Haunt has two pets (relatively weak but can be buffed) and tier 9 is another pet.
It would be nice if the Wolf is an Unaffected spiritual pet that debuffs/buffs.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

Claw Rake - Single melee (3s)
Vicious Bite - Single melee (7s)
Umbra Swipe - Cone melee (8s)
Shadowy Binds - Single immobilize (4s)
Terrifying Roar - Cone damage/fear (10s)
Terrifying Roar is Mag3 and lasts 8.94s at level 50.
Umbra Beast looks like it will indeed be... a beast.

I dont care about the shadowy effects...a wolf doesnt look appropiate for this set to me.. not as level 32 power... 
It should be bigger and the wolf model should be more transparent so it looks more like a blob of shadow than a ghostly wolf. Throw in some glowing eyes and it's set.

Looks like a buffed wolf from Beast Mastery (Master Mind power set)...
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
I wish it were a pack of hounds OR randomly summons a variety of shadow beasts (wolf, unseelie creature, gremlin thing, etc.) OR the power customization allowed us to pick which pet we want.
It kind of pigeonholes some of my concepts slightly but then again one of my concepts deals quite a bit with ghost hounds so.. I'm 50/50 on it.
