Is Superman a Brute now?

Did DC reroll Kal-El as a brute instead of a tank?

Bear with me. Or is that bare with?

Regardless, I finally started picking up the new 52 stuff. In either Issue 2 or 3 of Justice League, Bats makes a call for them to regroup, that the Parademons cant just be mowed over, whereas Flash states that he should tell that to Supes. We then see the Man of Steel dragging a crap load of Parademons with him, then smacking them with a truck.

It made me think of the difference between Neuron and Synapse. Synapse being a blaster, and Neuron being a scrapper.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

If he was a brute in that case, he'd have faceplanted.

Supes is a Tanker with Scrapper Damage Mods.

With a touch of Speed, Blaster, and Controller thrown into the mix for gits and shiggles.

Superman's high power level is best represented by simply being high level, IMO. Unlike a video game, there's no reason a comic book setting has to have every meaningful hero at the level cap, nor have heroes only fight enemies their own level, nor, for that matter, does it need to have a level cap at all. Indeed, on the rare occasions I can think of when Superman goes against someone of his own power level, the fight often drags on for a very long time, often with neither clearly gaining the upper hand, which would suggest he (and his opponents) are tougher than they are strong.

Supes is a fully leveled out and IO'd Incarnate tank.

He is neither a Tanker nor a Brute.

He's Superman...it's his own archetype.

Naaa. If he was a high level Blaster, he'd have a glass jaw.

"What we have here is a rare opportunity for me to let loose and show you just how powerful I really a...."

*Fist to Blasters Face*

*Faceplant*

"All that damage won't help you with Blaster defense. Hahaha the world is mine!"

See... He needs Tanker level defenses, Scrapper Damage mods, Vigilant Inherent (he breaks team when he starts to really show his stuff and explains why he gets taken out of huge team stories with some plot device) with a high Damage Cap

So tank resist, scrapper damage mods, brute damage cap with energy mastery for LBE, and frost breath sound about right?

My kryptonian build actually is a Human form PB using only melee attacks with the exception of eye beams. The right pools, sets, and a full team of cosmic balance buffs, and you can feel very superman like. And thier one biggest gap once upon a time in human form of lacing solid mez pro is easily removed with clarion incarnate now.

Though maybe an SS/Regen brute with the right pools and incarnate is more superman when you think about just how undying he really is meant to be.

I laughed when I first read this.

Last night I decided to roll up a PB for the first time since they released. Doing Posi TF with no enhancements, I had 85% res to s/l and when I used inner light I was at the Kheld damage cap. I now have a new project. Ah well, who needs sleep anyway?

Regan, not Invulnerability?
