Who will die. And a merits

I just got one each for running the who will die arcs. That's 4 a merits in a row in under 2 hurs. Now I happen to be saving up for bigger fish but isnt that 2 Lott 7.5s in under. 2 hours per character?

That's a lot of loot to make in a short time. Was this a bug or is this how they are normally bonusing

Working as intended.
The first time you do a signature arc, you get a reward table, but after that, only one signature arc per week will allow you to take the same reward. So you can take a new character through arcs 1-4, then repeat one, and end up with 5 A-Merits in relatively short order. But after that, you can never do that again on the same character, so it balances out a bit.

You only get the A-merit the first time you run each arc.

After that, you can get 1 A-merit a week for running ANY one of the chapters. But only one a week.

So, after the initial surge of "I got one A-merit for each arc, yay!" then you are time-gated to one a week.

Not to mention the requirement of having to reaffirm your morality.

Indeed, the fact that you have to run 22 additional missions first also sort of offsets it (though it does leave you with 6 A-Merits when all is said and done, and that's not a bad haul).

Go run SSA1 again. 8 minutes of work, you get another a-merit.

Run it again for 20 regular merits if you like.

Then you can do both of those things again after a week has passed.

It IS a lot of merits quickly the first time through, but your character has to have confirmed alignment first as noted. Still well worth doing on a few characters at least.

It was at 1st. When the SSA's came out, you could run one and grab and A-merit, run the same one right afterwards and claim a 2nd one!

Needless to say, I stocked up on LoTG's for a few weeks, crafted a few and sold the rest for a bankroll.

As you'd expect, I wasn't the only one doing this and, with the addition of the LoTG in the store, the price in WW for +7.5's has dropped recently.

Use to be a steady 150 million.

Now the price is from 50-100 million.

It's only 11 missions if you aren't changing your alignment at all. And if you are, it's 33 missions. 1 set to go to Rogue/Vigilante, 1 set to go to Hero/Villain, 1 set to re-affirm. Otherwise, just 11.

I say that we should get 1 A-Merit per arc per week.

They are individual arcs altogether, keep the once a week limit but only limit the times you can run the arc instead of the while volume.

You still will get 28 a month plus the 3 Tip mission related A-Merits...thats 40 A-Merits a month that can get you a PVP IO or Purple IO and you still have to do that over a 5 to 6 month period to get a full set of 1 purple set or 1 PVP set.

Limiting us to only 1 Merit a week from any arc once is just too limiting and doesnt help anyone much. I'll just do the mission and move on this way.

Assuming you only do this with one alt at a time. Do it with six of them, have each pick up a different IO from the set, mail them to yourself, and you can have a full set in a month.

Two full sets if you have twelve alts who can earn A-merits.

I have close to thirty of them.

(You're also assuming only four arcs. We know the current SSA series will have seven parts altogether. There will be more after that.)

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

As I understand it, to get A-Merits from the SSAs, you have to re-affirm at least once. Basically, until you get an A-Merit from tips, you can't get any from SSAs. Is that mistaken?

Yes. You have to confirm you're a hero/villain. If you're currently a hero, that means doing 11 missions (10 tips, 1 morality). If you're currently a vig/rogue, that means doing 22 missions (10 tips, 1 morality to become a hero/villain, 10 tips, 1 morality to confirm hero/villain). The first requires two days, the second requires four.

Ah, okay, I didn't think the first time counted as "confirming", even if you didn't change alignments. My mistake, then.
