how do you make a feathered top and legs?

When the animal pack came out there was a fair outcry for feathered pieces that went unheeded. Which is to say that there isn't a good way to do feathers. You can try to fake it with leaf bits, but it's not very good.

but, regardless, I have two costumes that fit the bill (badum-tish);
The one on the left (under the chest detail) uses "Organic Armor" with the "strapless" pattern and the legs are "Organic Armor" with "Bikini 2". It should be noted that if you like the overall look, but don't want the glowy parts, you need to choose darker colours closer to the left for the secondary colour. I like this one, but it probably only works as well as it does in concert with the rest of the Celestial Pheonix theme...
The one on the right is Valkyrie with Strapless and Bikini 2 (And the cyborg cables chest detail). I think I used to have this one with just tights, but I tried and liked the overall feel the valkyrie texture gave it.

I have the bird head. I can make bird feet.
For my jaguar I have animal fur for the chest and legs, but no feathers for them. And I don't want the Valkyrie feathered armor (okay, if I could get the Valkyrie skirt and the monstrous bird legs I would go for that).
I am trying animal fur with scales which isn't terrible but is not great.
