Whats the max INFL one toon can have?
OK, I know I'm numerically challenged but that just sounds wrong. How can something sell for 2.5 billion but nobody can ever have more than 2 billion in their pocket.
Even if you somehow manage to buy it, the seller can't take in their profits. Well, perhaps with the market fees but there's still something wrong with that picture. |
You've got a recipe/item that I want, and you want 2.5 billion for it.
I log in my main, transfer 1.5 Billion to you.
I either switch to a different character of mine or access the auction house and grab 1.5 Billion INF I'm storing in a bid for an item that no longer exists (there have been a few in the past, today's patch may mess some of that up in the future) or that I have stored in an email (not a good idea).
At the same time, you are either switching characters or storing that 1.5 in a Market bid or in email (bad idea) so that you have room for the rest of the transaction.
I then transfer the remaining 1 Billion INF to you and you transfer the recipe/item to me.
Done deal.
EDIT: Scooped by FourSpeed with a different method.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
I would think that would be possible, but my Premium hasn't filled Tier 4 so can't test it (not to mention that I'd be having to transfer all of the INF from all of my characters on the main account to reach that mark). It's possible that one of our Justice folks has an alt account that's got Tier 4 filled (8 Reward Tokens earned) that can test that for us. I'm thinking maybe Abraxxus, Uber Guy or Bionic Flea.
I'd ask Rangle but everyone would assume it's related to one of his Plots. Same for Warboss. |
According to the P-Rewards page, tier 2 allows use of the mail system, and the inf. cap is raised to 500mil. (pro'lly where I remembered the 500 from).
Tier 4 is where in inf. cap is raised to 2 bil.
So....
T1 (Free) is 25 mil
T2 (Preem) is 500 mil + mail system
T4 (Preem) is 2 bil.
Do I have that right?
(and I understand your reluctance to consult Rangle... wise, very wise.)

Simple - it's sold offmarket, often via the forums. I post what I have and my price, then you contact me and we arrange the transaction

OK, thank you FS. That made sense.
But, since there is no identifying who has posted what on the market, how am I supposed to know who to contact to buy the object that I cannot possibly by through the market? |
Watch your server global channels or the market forums for stuff like that.

I'm sure there are other ways to arrange it, but those two locations are going to put you in contact with the greatest number of people with the money to buy 'em, or who are looking to sell 'em. ^_^

I love Black Assassin's signature animation. there are hardcore groups in the game that do exactly that, destroy as much Inf as fast as they can by turning it into prestige. They generate it, burn it, at a crazy pace. So, they probably don't have storage problems. nvm, not sure why that is relevant here.
