Seeing Mercy from Grandville?

So I zone into Grandville from Ouro, (facing south) and i notice WAAAY in the background in the endless sea something that looked like... buildings? They were only there for a moment before the atmospheric FX kicked in, so I flew to the very south of the map and saw this....

Definitely buildings.

According to the "world map", Mercy Island is south of Grandville. So is this supposed to be Mercy, or was the "Grandville" map supposed to be bigger, or were the Rogue Isles originally meant to not have any barriers and allow you to traverse freely from one island to the next?

Allied to all sides so that no matter what, I'll come out on top!
Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

On a clear day you can see forever.

Unfortunately, in the Rogue Isles you never really have a clear day.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Didn't Devs say they wanted to move to a system like GR's? I assume once War Walls are taken down, we'll see that wall-based zoning, which is when a skybox like that might come into play.

Right now, if you fly due east out of Portal Corp in Peregrine Island, you end up north of the War Wall in Talos Island. Naught but water below you, but if you fly around by the Skyway Gate - on the outside - you find grassy knolls (yes, I know) and buildings. Empty. With no streets. No NPCs. Just shells.

It's a little creepy.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

You åre probably right that it is Mercy. Another example is found in Port Oaks. If you go all the way west to where the sub for the Mayhem mission is, you can clearly see the top of mount diable in Cap au Diable. So there is definatly possible to see cross some zones.

Defiant to the last!

Port Oakes and Cap au Diable are on the same island. A tunnel used to link them.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.
