Gifting Paragon Points and/or Reward Tokens

My friend has six leftover reward tokens and she's completely capped out. She said she'd give me them if it were actually possible. I know the reward tokens are a good way to keep people subscribed and to buy stuff in the Paragon Market, but it's a thought.

Gifting Paragon Points to another account would be nice too. Christmas is coming up after all!

You can't buy anything in the store with reward tokens. The top three tier nine slots are for rotating rewards that hasn't started yet, and there are other tier nine rewards that can be chosen again once the temp reward has used it's charges or assigned to a different character.

As for gifting Paragon Points just go out and buy a prepaid credit card and mail it to your friend so they can use it to buy points.

The great thing about the prepaid credit card gift is that you are giving your friend a secure method of buying stuff that won't ruin their credit if the info gets stolen.

Any wiley internet thief that gets the card info will only have access to the limited amount prepaid on the card, and absolutely no access to the real owners personal information and identity. Plus those cards are insured by the credit card company against fraud and the stolen money will be returned.

Furthermore the card can safely have more money added to it at any time.

There are more new Tier 9 VIP slots coming so she will be able to use them soon, but I would also love to have the option to gift Points or Tokens.

Gifting points would be nice; I've wished I could let me do it with the Microsoft points on Xbox Live for years now. I'd even go as far as to say I'd like to see the ability to buy either points packages, or specific items for friends (and, say, if they already have it, then they get the points instead, just like if you bought something at a store that they already had, they could return it for store credit).

One issue does come to mind: if I buy my friend 1200 points, who gets the reward token that goes with it, him or me? I could see a case for either, or "neither." "Both" would probably open the door to a lot of abuse by people with two accounts.

As far as gifting tokens, that seems to fly in the face of what the rewards program is supposed to do in the first place -- encourage loyalty/subscriptions/purchases. So I doubt that one's going to get very far.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

Nah. Both people getting the reward token wouldn't be very exploitable even with two accounts. If you can't gift reward tokens, then it won't prove much use. But you're right. I guess it's just some selfish wishful thinking ;P.

Yes it would. Many players have multiple accounts and they'd be able to get double the reward tokens for their personal use for the price of one. And unless the devs coded it not to work people would even be able to get reward tokens for free accounts while never spending a dime on the free accounts. Thus getting around several of the free account restrictions that require the account owner to spend money on the account.

Players could use the rewards gotten from gifting to Free accounts unlock things like AT's, character slots, Costumes, SG access, chat channels, Market access, AE access, Email access, Trading, increased inf cap, etc.

Then they could sell the login and passwords of the free account with all the goodies to some dumb schmuck, and then steal the account back after they got the money and claim the schmuck hacked the account if he tried to complain to CS.

You can get your friend a gift card.

Case in point, I was grocery shopping at Walmart after I got off of work, and saw the cards. I bought one and proceeded to try it out.

After registering it at Walmart.com, I went to Buy More Points, Credit Card-Other, filled in all the info, and tah dah it worked like a charm

Well, truthfully it did not work the first couple of tries because I had, blush, forgotten about sales tax

Anyway, after I bought the correct amount of points, it worked smooth as silk.

Ohhh, if anyone wants to do this, don't do as I did. When I was filling out the info for the gift card it asked such things as do you want to keep card on file.

"Keep a gift card on file? No way" said I to myself as I unchecked it.

Well, I did all this a day before my account was due to do the automatic 12 month renew...

I got off of work that day to find that I was no longer a VIP. When I went to account services, I found that I when I unchecked keep card on record for my gift card, it also unchecked my credit card on record. Oy Vay.

I got it sorted out in minutes, but gave myself a nervous condition and a few more grey hairs

But, yes, Vista/Mastercard Gift Cards are a fiine way to gift points.

Lisa.

Haven't Paragon Studios stated they want to do "gifting"? I think that is partly why the wishlist button is there.

However I don't think it makes financial sense for them to allw that to happen from our free paragon points and most definitely not from tokens.

This is a song about a super hero named Tony. Its called Tony's theme.

I'd like to see this, especially since that way I don't have to log on to each of my daughter's accounts, run the transactions, and then go on to mine if I'm adding points to mine as well. I could just do it all from mine, and then gift points to my girls from my account.

Yeah, they're just not going to like me when they wake up. Went over their grades and found about 20 missing assignments and several Fs between them....no CoH time for them until it's all done
