You'd be surprised, racial slurs really don't get as much of a reaction as you'd think.

I don't frown upon attacking your opponent however you can, but I do think that even some things can be pretty tasteless.

I actually wouldnt be surprised; I dont personally battlerap and wouldnt advise you trying what I was joking about...a couple of racial slurs and you wouldnt look too hot getting stomped on and your glasses crushed by 70 pairs of Timberlands and Air Force1s.
I personally cut them loose in everyday usage though...my boss, siblings, misc work associates etc.
Everyone regardless of race gets called creative versions of the n-word.

Semantics. You're rejecting my comparison based on a strict definition of "racial slur." No you didn't use some Asian variation of the n word. You did break out a bunch of more or less generic Asian stereotypes on your opponent after messing up. Calling someone else out for using a racial slur after they've run out of options--I don't see any great difference from what goes on in that video. Which amuses me, frankly. I wasn't fishing for some apologia about why you do the things you do.

You're right the performance aspect is lost on me. How is that relevant? The average high school musical probably draws a larger crowd and gets more laughs. And while there are some overarching principles that are general to all types of criticism, proficiency in one doesn't make you more competent in commenting on another. An expert in American method acting won't have any great insights into German Expressionist painting based on their background.

It's clear from his battles that he's just having fun for 10-20 minutes trading barbs with some other people. Even when he's wrecked them (Hello, Loki Lestat) they've always shook hands afterwards and moved on.

3 rounds with more than 16 bars per round, half of round two that was written equated to about 8 bars of asian jokes, with a few added in round 3. I didn't fall back on those as a crutch because I screwed up, that was all intended from the get-go.

Round 1 and 3, with 3 being the longest had more personals and aggression than outright racial slurs, jokes, or however it is that you want to define it.

Mathematically speaking, the majority of the content in my battle was not centered around his race, and my hardest hitting line was a personal. Therefore, "racial slurs" (however you want to define them) were not my battle against Konflict "in a nutshell".

I've never claimed to be an expert on any medium of art, I brought up performance experience as a counter to your generalized statement that I had no idea about how harsh criticism could be.

I'm no expert on method acting, battling, improv or any performance related medium, and you're certainly no expert on any form of art as well.

Your approach to criticism is far different than mine, and your tone wasn't warranted. That you corrected yourself afterwards and decided to hone on me is indicative of this as well.

I think the problem is vinnie's battles have more views than Slan's picture gallery one has attempted to make a career out of it and failed the other is Vinnie.

Looks like you grasped at straws for your initial insult since it is widely known and explained that Peril takes about 1-2 minutes to make a banner for us. I have seen his real work and it is rather impressive. My brother being a successful animated music video producer (A very specialized field I know.) Even he gave props to Peril's work.

I'm not going to bother estimating how much money you didn't make on those projects (big fan of the 3rd grade video game with Howie Long in the bottom right corner). I will however laugh at your attempt to make me out to be the tryhard here.
