I believe the doorways are used as spawnpoints for baseraids. So i think they won't change this, unless they remove the baseraid option.
If they did change it so that you can add stuff to doorways, same as you can to rooms, then the looks of a base will change drastically, and it would be incredibly awesome.
Didn't they end base raids quite some time ago?

When they let us block up these passage ways.. base Raids actually where made impossible.

Something for ppl to use I know something is happening in this aspect because I have seen a new tab, nothing there yet but it is called doorway...wonder what it is all about.
Dear Devs.
Can you maybe find a way to let base builders be able to edit the doorways. Like placing decrotive objects within them so there is more fluidity from room to room. I know there seems to be more important things in the game that your working on, but there are people whom like to construct bases and make them how they dream. Please try and take it into consideration.
