Kaitlyn Daniels, a recently graduated Finance major who has begun work at a Paragon City bank, discovers one morning that she has super powers.
"This is sooooooo cool. I was so worried about about having to deal with rude customers... but now!?! 'Sorry ma'am, you're declined.' 'What was that you say?' bzzzzzzt, POW!"

The weird thing? There was some technical writer standing half a block down, recording the entire fight. She looked like some kind of 'weaver of dreams,' or something.

I agree, as it is, there is absolutely no incentive to post early. And unfortunately, I think even changing it to a random poster instead of just the last poster might not increase the participation to 50 posts, but it will get a whole lot more than just 9.
Am I the only one who thinks limiting the winner to someone that can post within a 1 minute window during the exact same time every week to be a bad idea? I would happily participate in this contest, but not on these terms. There's just absolutely no incentive.

I'm quite good at and enjoy this sort of thing so not having a chance to participate is a real disappointment.
Surely running it for a couple of days wouldn't be too much to ask?

I did a little math last night. You want at least fifty before you declare a winner but you tap it out at three entries to person. That means you could have of sixteen players to blow their shot at winning just to get close to the minimum needed for there to be a winner.
If asking for 17 people just to qualify and getting five doesn't change this, I'm not sure why we're doing it. I'm not sure the prestige of winning a costume code carries that much weight.
How I'd do it? Change it either to the one post per minute thing, or lower then requirement by half. AND stipulate the first ten or fifteen entries in thread do not count towards the 3 per entry requirement (which I'd consider raising to 4).
Then you'd only need approximately three people's worth of reaching their cap instead of 17.
Just a thought.

Edit: Then if the thread hits fifty, award another random entry the code and title, maybe? Maybe a forum title for the best entry of the month if it isn't too much work.

To participate you will have to continue the story with one single sentence. 2) Your reply must continue where the last reply left off, include the story content contained in the previous post and carry on the story with one single sentence.
