Yay, fluff comes easier for a minority of the player base... that's something at least after years of not much.
Meanwhile, base bugs are pretty much at an all time high and the rank and file SG member gets zero benefit from this.
I'm not ungrateful for at least some result but pass on the dev suck up in this particular area (bases).

Still
Waiting
For a better shake for all.
One man's terrorist is another man's freedom (or freem?) fighter; just as one man's exploit is another man's feature.
I am grateful for the new editing tools.
I am even grateful for the crazy bugs.
Why?
Because it means that *someone* is working on bases.
Even the bugs mean that *someone* has to work on bases to fix them.
HOPEFULLY, this means that *someone* will finally be getting a better handle on the code, and will be better informed/equipped to implement new things for bases in the future.
So, I can understand Fire Away's assertion that it's "just fluff", but they gotta start somewhere. And if they are having issues just implementing "fluff", then I'm glad they didn't start on something more complicated.
I would love to see more functionality for our SG members; but in the meantime, I'm grateful for fluff. Yes indeedy, I am.

YUMMY Low-Hanging Fruit for BASE LUV
I just got into actual base building (as opposed to just choosing the default colors on a set pattern, applying it to the entire base, and calling it a day). I only spent a week carefully stacking things on top of floor safes in order to create levels. I am extremely grateful for the vertical placement tools, so I can only imagine what the veterans here must feel.
Thank you!
@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.
I am a blaster first, and an alt-oholic second.
The new tools have made my building much easier. I am quite thrilled.
I laugh in glee as I stand at the entrance of my base and let the stonethrowers pelt my DB/Willpower tank. Then I calmly warn lowbies that they might not want to use the base until it's fixed and give them the alternatives.
Now we know there is work going on with bases, and we are feeling some of the love.
*buys a case of bug spray for the devs*

Yes it is nice to finally see some base edit love. I just hope that it doesn't stop there and it doesn't take years again to see something new for base editing.

I know I for one am quite happy about the new base toys!
Of course we'd all like to see more stuff, new items, "bottoms" put on certain base objects, but as I have said before, they will do what they can for us, when they can. It is a slow process, but we will get there eventually. All good things to those that wait.
Thank you devs! I really mean that.
Sure we have waited a long time, and sure,we all want a lot more base luv, but let's just take it one step at a time. What we just got is a MAJOR hand in editing that opens up countless new design possibilities.
Rome wasn't built in a day. But with the new editor tools, the build time would be cut at least in half...
-War Base-
All your base are belong to ME!
I really don't know who to thank, and I'm trying with all my might to not spazz about it, but I have to do this, just so the team will know and I hope that others chime in.
I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate and adore these new base editing tools. I want to give out a big thank you to the team as a whole for making this happen. I don't care about how long it took, I don't care about the bugs people seem to enjoy complaining about, because that's not what this post is about.
I can only imagine the hell it must have been diving through all that code to deliver just a few features that -IMHO- are real game changers when it comes to player housing. <There is no better player housing than in COX>
this is beyond epic... I don't think there is a word that could describe how epic these tools are, or how much I truly appreciate being able to use them.
Thank you. All of you. All of you that poured hours/days/weeks/months into this. It is very well received and very VERY appreciated!
I would also like to thank Zwillinger, Avatea, and Beastyle <Mod09 once upon a time ago> for showing up, touring, and tolerating the Twisted Burrow on Infinity.
That visit is what gave me the hope that something would eventually be done...
I.
Am.
Grateful.
Thank you.
To all of you.
To the base builders: I gently urge you to post, giving praise where it is more than due.
Ignoring anyone is a mistake. You might miss something viral to your cause.
