Question about -knockback enhancements

Hi!

Does the -knock protection from the Blessing of the Zephyr apply even when the Travel power is not active?

Thanks

Yes, I believe it does.

Yes.

All the knockback protection enhancements are global enhancements so they apply so long as you are no lower then 3 levels lower then the level of the enhancement.

The power it is in can be off or even greyed out and it will still work.

Thank you both!

I infer that all global enhancements work the same? Like LotG +recharge? As long as I'm at -3 or better

Yep it applies to LotG as well (that is why the level 25 ones sell for a mint), also steadfast protections +3% defense is a global.

PROCs work differently though, for those the power has to be active. Sometimes it is not easy to tell the difference between a global and PROC but I can say the KB Protects, LotG 7.5% and Steadfast +3% are globals that will be on no matter what power they are in or whether that power is on or not so long as you are within 3 levels of the level of the enhancement.

P.S. this also applies to set bonues. You get the set bonus even if the power is greyed out so long as you are within 3 levels of enough enhancements to get the bonus.

And that solves all my doubts Thanks a million!

Hm. I must have been mistaken, then. I thought that if you were exemplared to a level below having access to a power, that its bonuses stopped working.

For instance, if I took Combat Jumping at level 49, threw a LotG +recharge into it, then ran a Sister Psyche, I'd lose that bonus.

Thank you, Champion.

Depends on the level of the LotG+R. If it's a level 27 LotG+R and you're 25, then it will still work even though Combat Jumping is greyed out. If it's a Level 30 LotG+R and you're 25, then it won't work.

See here and then here.

Global Special IOs work differently than Proc Special IOs.

Different question:

Lets suppose I have 3 level 50 chars. One has a normal level 50 endmod SO in Stamina, other a normal level 50 IO, and the last one a level 50 set IO (perf. shifter, effi. adaptor, whatever)

If I exemplar down to any level below 47... will I get the +endmod from any of those enhancements?

I know that the set IO wont count towards the set bonuses, but will I get the enhancement value from the SO/IO/setIO?

Sorry for too many questions, I left the game before IOs where introduced and even if I try to "study" as much as I can, there are some things that I miss or just forget

TL:DR
Yes, you will still get the non-set benefits of all enhancements, when exemplared.

Full:
Ignoring things like set bonuses, all enhancements function in the same way, when your character is exemplared. There is a "smooth" curve (which ignores the differences in efficiencies between different types of enhancements) from 49 down to 1 that your enhancements will have applied to them. So while more powerful enhancements will still give bigger benefits, while exemplared their efficiency is reduced.

Additionally, in your example (at level 47) you would still have access to the set bonuses (unless you somehow got some level 51, 52 or 53 Set IOs). However at level 46, using level 50 Set IOs, you would lose your bonuses.

As stated above:
- Globals will still only give their special benefits if your level is no more than 3 levels below, the level of the enhancement (level 10 character to level 13 enhancements, you gain full benefits. Level 10 to level 14 however you don't)
- Procs will only give their special benefits if your level is no more than 3 levels below the level you gained the power they are slotted in.

Edited after Selina H pointed out my errors. Thank you Selina.

One side uses mind police and will "disappear" you and the other uses poison gas and bombs on civilians. Hamidon? He'll just have a tree eat you. Much simpler. If we're all going to be oppressed and/or killed by someone, it might as well be the walking trees. At least they don't speak in annoying code or doublespeak. They just devour you.

As Zombie Man stated, globals work this way, but procs don't. With procs the power they're slotted in must be active, but the level of the enhancement doesn't matter.
