Who killed him?

Not Me!

But seriously, RIP sir

I feel like a part of my childhood is gone. I loved it when Billy would take one of his wayward strolls around the neighborhood. Family Circus is a piece of Americana for me. Just as symbolic as apple pie. There were a lot of funny moments and a few powerful heart felt moments as well. Thank you, Mr. Keane. My life as a kid would have been lacking without your work.

And another reminder that time catches us all eventually.

I agree, Magus, one of my favorite things was Billy's wanderings. But the series was just great stuff overall.

RIP sir, you did good.

I suppose it's too much to hope that his dull comic strip will rest in peace as well... like as not they'll just keep reprinting it.

Isn't his son doing the strip now anyway?

I loved Family Circus as a kid, especially tracing Billy's path through the house/neighborhood, but I outgrew it years ago. Still, and sorry to go off on a tangential rant, but if any comic strip needs to be canceled, it's freaking Marmaduke. Half the time Marmaduke is same three tired, recycled jokes, and the other half the time it's like a random collection of panels that make no sense at all.

Anyway, RIP Bil Keane, you had a great run.
