Halloween : Trustworthy / Arriviste Badge

Can someone refresh my memory? I am running the Halloween tip missions. In the past I thought that as a pure hero if you chose to turn in the Malus Mundi to MAGI for the Trustworthy badge then you could run the mission again and get the choice to sell the Malus Mundi and have your Trustworthy Badge replaced with the Arriviste badge.

Is this badge now one of those flipper badges that changes when you go from hero to villain. I thought this badge was dependent on you choice on the reward table not your current loyalty status but I am starting to doubt my memory. Some testing has shown that Arriveste is now villain only or may have been all along and I am just mistaken.

Can anyone confirm this?

First, you mean "trusting" the "trustworthy" badge was a vet badge and is now a paragon reward badge.

Second, the wiki says that if you run it multiple times you should be able to flip between the badges but not have both at once. It does not appear to be hero-villain related.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

I'm pretty sure it is hero/villain related. Trusting for Heroes, Arriviste for Villains.

Then why do I have a hero with the Arriviste badge? I got it for selling the Malleus Mundi thingy.

Did you do it as a hero? Or as a villain then switched sides?

For example, this Vigilante character of mine has Arriviste, not Trusting.

Did you get the badge this Halloween or last year? The problem I have been having is I don't get the choice as a hero to sell the Malleus Mundi. Conversely when I run the Halloween tip mission on my villain no option to turn the Malleus Mundi in is given only tosell it.

As for my rogue I earned the Arrivste badge today (again only choice) and tomorrow I will convert to pure hero and see what happens. If no automatic change I will runt the tip mission and see what choices are offered.

I suspect that due to the release of Going Rogue and the whole alignment change ability something has changed with this badge but I have no proof thus far.

I also suspect the only way for a hero to get the Arriviste badge is to run the grand loop from hero to villain grab the badge and return to hero.

Will keep you folks posted.

What you suspect is exactly how it works, but was also how it worked last year.

Heroes and Vigilantes can only Earn Trusting. Villains and Rogues can only earn Arriviste. When you switch, the badge itself doesn't change, but, if you make the switch to the other side while the tip is still dropping, you can get the one for the other side and earn the other badge, replacing the one that you earned on the other side.

Nothing has changed about these, and Going Rogue and the alignment system couldn't have changed them since those were both released before the Halloween event last year. Here's a thread from last year's Halloween Event where we discussed this.

Now this is the information I have been searching for. Guess my search-fu is as bad as my memory. I could have sworn at some point you used to be able to get the Arriviste badge on a hero just by running the tip mission again.

Well how ever things may have worked in the the past for the present if a hero wants to wear the Arrivest badge and still be a hero the only path is round trip thru the alinement system. I don't want the badge that bad. Case closed

Thanks Ms. Mesmer.

I did it as a hero. If it's a bug then I'm not complaining, I'm keeping it.
