Slotting Crushing Uppercut

What does everyone think the best slotting for Crushing Uppcut is?

Right now, I'm looking at 5 Crushing Impacts and a Lockdown Proc (this is a StJ/Regen).

However, I could move the 5 Crushing Impacts to Shin Breaker, and 5 slot CU with the Purple set.

I could also replace the Lockdown Proc with the Purple Hold Sets Smashing Damage Proc.

For a regular DPS chain, Shin Breaker will see more use however, so seems best to keep the Purple Set in Shin Breaker (more chances for the proc). But not so sure if I should keep the Lockdown Proc over the Purple Damage Proc in CU.

It could depend on your secondary, and perhaps on what your final end costs are and final global recharge, etc. You could consider a recharge/endurance IO.

Do you plan to use the Achilles' Heel proc in Shin Breaker? That's a big chunk of why I plan my five Hecatomb for Shin Breaker. Currently I'm looking to do 5 Crushing Impact and the Ghost Widow's proc for Crushing uppercut, but I need to crunch numbers that vs the purple proc

Hadn't considered the lockdown proc, my brain sees +2 mag hold and just slides right on by. At first glance I'd have guessed that a chance of a mag 2 hold would be pretty unimpressive.

I put a recharge IO in it. I don't think it recharges fest enough to warrant a proc

Mine is 5 slotted with Crushing Impact and the 6th slot is a touch of death Damage/End/Recharge.

It's up every 9 seconds. End cost is 7.7

I'm currently planning on 4 slots of Bas. Gaze for the 7.5% recharge, and 2 50(+5) dmg IOs.

But I'm only level 20, and that is a loooong way off for a 3rd tier alt.

I dont get much out of procs in a power like this (long recharge) unless I just like to see the extra numbers. I usually go with 5of6 heca then 1of6 acc/recharge or end/hold from Unbreakable constraint in a big power like this. Now with the Scrapper set comming Soon(tm), you may get your wish of tricking both out. I also havent looked at attack chains that closesly either. If it works out, Shutter's method is very appealing as my SB got the Achilles heel ASAP. Save damage procs for lower powers (if you have room) like initial strike or heavy blow, IMO.

True Crushing Uppercut won't be up often enough to make use of two purple procs. So, my best bet is to go with Crushing Impact and the Hold Purple Proc.

I liked the idea of the Lockdown Proc to turn the Mag 3 Hold in CU (at level 3) to a mag 5 (chance of anyways). But I think I'll go the more damage route.

I currently have 5 Crushing Impact. I'm considering going purple.

Slightly off topic, but does it *really* hit as hard as it looks like it does in MIDs? I'm seeing 435 pts of damage without build up or combo levels?

You probably have average damage enabled, in which case Crushing Uppercut is getting credit for crits.

But yeah, it hits pretty darn hard.
