and dont forget plant[/storm/leviathan controller]!

which is in between illu and fire as far as pets go i'd say. but the heal-tree isnt the most useful :P

but those dang creepers can count in the ZILLIONS! so that makes plant [3 pets -tree/creeper pet/flytrap- + creepers summoned by invisi creeper pet]

MUAHAHAHAHAHA

:runs off to roll one now:

How many creepers can come up concurrently?

Funny though Crab Spider was one of the builds I was looking to trying next.

Plus, 'Pets' is one of the categories listed under character creation and they list MMs, dominators, controllers, and Soldiers of Arachnos, though their definition of 'pet' seems to be kind of loose. I mean, they do all have more pets than other ATs, but the gap is kind of wide between MMs and the other 3.

Well as long as you aren't completely set on a pet that is cast once and forgotten about .. Then definately the SoA crab.. mine has the maximum 5 from primary and secondary, 1 from patron powers and 2 more from Lore. The ONLY thing with more is an MM that uses Dark Maisma and gets a Dark Servant .. 6 from the primary, one from the secondary and two from lore for a total of 9. hehehe I also have 2 masterminds like that!

Since you're counting Lore which isn't perma I can only assume you aren't requiring all the pets to be perma. In which case Thugs/, Demons/, Necro/, /Traps, Plant/, /Storm, Illusion/, and various other types of characters can have that many or more pets.

My Necro can do 9 pets before Lore. My Thug/Trap can do 9 to 11 before Gang War or Lore. My Plant Dom could have a dozen or so depending on where I throw Creepers.

OHHh I forgot thugs and gangwar.. GW comes in really handy on a BAF I have used it during the prisoner phase and I have also saved it and given Siege and Northstar something extra to deal with during the final battle.

Good call Dispari.. yeah when the OP said he wasn't opposed to non perma pets I figured why shouldn't we add in Lore.

I believe "Quality" is better than "Quantity"!

Mastermind has 6 primary pets but the tier 1 pets can die so easily.

Quality pets are the ones that survive better and require less babysitting. Illusion has great pets because Army don't die (except for one situation in trial?).

If you are looking for quality pets, I would suggest Gravity's Singularity (use it to protect yourself by blocking the path), Earth Control's stone pet and Warshade's pets. Warshade's pet surprisingly do very good damage. They are temporary pets but with good recharge, you can easily get two out at once as long as there's dead body for you to summon.

If you just want "Quantity", I guess Fire/Storm Controller can get many pets out at once. With Storm, you have Lightning Storm and annoying Tornado. :P

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
